The Biggest Difference between Rutgers and Indiana is NIL

I've put up with Rutgers football since I graduated in 1970. We all know the very few shining moments that happened since then. Now, as I look at Freeman, Chesney, and other bright charismatic coaches, I look at Fred Flintstone and decide enough is enough. I used to make an annual four-figure donation to the football program. Now, for the last three years, I make that donation to the baseball program.

Stop being a F’ing idiot.
Complete nonsense. We played competitively against BC and USC. Indiana was above our weight class and UMass was an embarrassment. Win against Maryland gets us back on track.
Almost a decade into Schiano 2.0 and we should be happy that RU was competitive with a team that was 2-10 the previous season? Beating Maryland gets the season back on track? It never should have been off track in the first place. RU got run off the field in their own stadium by a team with 53 new players that was WINLESS the previous season. Then they got beat by a 2-10 team that replaced their 4 star QB (who's shat the bed after transferring to RU) with a D2 QB. The minimum expectation was that RU would be 3-2 at this point. They've drastically underachieved.

Why did you think we could measure up?

If money is so significantly important - and it was well known how far ahead Indiana is in total roster spending - why would you think we even had an opportunity?

If coaching has a near meaningless impact - what made you think Rutgers even had a chance?
He needed to see the game to know Schiano didn't measure up. Tells you how little he knows about sports, his intramural cricket experience notwithstanding.

Freeman, Chesney, and other bright charismatic coaches were given the support to succeed. Chesny in particular was able to turn things around quickly because he had lots of NIL support. We are currently struggling because we lack same.

Message Board Genius doesn't love you. They mock you. Like everyone here and very likely in your life. Work harder on trying to get a girlfriend than being the board idiot. Your life will be better for it.
Wow Caliknight. Trying too hard as usual. You're going to have to grow thicker skin, because its too easy to bruise your fragile ego.

you could say they've underachieved if we had talent that simply was not performing well. We don't have enought talent in the first place.
Our support has gradually increased, but it has not kept up with the increasing needs.
Where was the support to get a quality quarterback? A quality quarterback would have helped us beat UMass and BC. But because we've got two guys learning on the job, they're making mistakes, which is costing us wins. And while Schiano has made mistakes in the portal, he was constrained by a small budget, especially after having to pay Duff, Raymond, and Asamoah.

Consequently, there wasn't enough support to get quality defenders.
Defense stinks because we scrapped the bottom of the barrel for transfers.
true the minimum expectation was that Ru would be 3-2. But Anyone could see that if the transfers didn't pan out and if the line struggled to block, we would be in deep trouble. Murphys law has reared its ugly head, and it looks like very few of the transfers are going to pan out. We traded Bo Mascoe for a guy who can't make an open field tackle.

You said they get top of P4 transfers. I see a lot of non P4 on there. Cignetti identifies talent and grooms it. We are concerned about the distance between your wrist and elbow. And yes, that’s not made up. That is a measurement schiano takes on every kid who visits the program.

difficult to pull an upset without strong quarterback play. Our guys are still learning and making mistakes.
Last two years we had an NFL QB. No upsets.
just stop. It’s sad.

Despite being a regular abuser of the moronic, pathetic, societal reject clown the sports world unanimously ridicules, Shelby does oppose racist rhetoric in all contexts. Cricket, arranged marriage and rupee insults are inappropriate even when directed toward ignorant buffoons who disgust every one of us.

There are idiots in all races, religions, etc., (but probably very few as mentally and socially damaged as he is). However, let’s refrain from the racist barbs. There are countless things to mock him about but his heritage is not among them.

You’ll never learn. Shelby does defend PSU and virtually all universities on academics. Rutgers is no better or worse than most of them despite what arbitrary rankings suggest. our students are no brighter and our profs are no wiser no matter which schools you’re comparing. And Shelby does root for PSU when an OOC win is good for the conference, and only then. And of course Shelby was disgusted by the Sandusky atrocities..

The NFL QB and team had his opportunities but just didn’t get it done. Penn State and Minnesota immediately come to mind. Some of us are capable of multi tasking.

They have the #1 transfer class per on3. Their highest impact players are power4 transfers, like Josh Hoover, Turbo Richard, Nick Marsh, and Joe Brunner.

Looks like the bruised is yours Tootsie Roll. Arranged marriage culture and still can’t get a wife. Your poor parents must be so disappointed.
I can get a wife anytime I want. And I would do a better job of pleasing yours than you ever could.
You don’t have the skills I have.

you’re weak.

Look at how weak his responses are, it's amazing that he still tries. Dude is getting killed in every thread and keeps trying to attack people like the fool in the Monty Python skit.

Your only utility is kissing @SS and getting on your knees because you don’t have ideas of your own. You merely regurgitate others ideas. Don’t forget to get new kneepads!

Another moron who promoted the idea that Schiano would be fired. Goto the corner and sit down.
1) learn the difference between the words “should” and “would.”

2) season is far from over; plenty of time for him to get fired and barring a miracle the size of the second coming, it’s over

Yes women love ugly guys with beer bellies. You’re in super high demand, clearly.

Women love guys who can deliver a slice of heaven. Such guys are always in high demand. Hopefully one day you will be similarly skilled, but not going to hold my breathe. You’re too selfish to be a good lover.
