Both fanbases are beyond frustrated with the state of their program and are aggressively emailing their ADs to fire their coach. 🤦

I can only imagine the message boards of the team that loses on Saturday.

No coach in his right mind will be in a rush to sign on with either of these two schools, most likely both will be the last openings to be filled this year, regardless of when the openings are announced.
Completely disagree. This isn’t 20 years ago let alone 10 years ago. Completely different ball game right now and being in the Big Ten or the SEC, even at the bottom, matters in a big way. Too many teams are proving how quickly a program can be turned around with a good coaching staff and the proper support. I’m not talking national championships, but plenty of other programs are turning around enough just to be competitive, fun to watch, and have a chance. There’s no doubt what’s over in my mind that good coaches, up-and-coming, or whatever, will be interested in both jobs.

A lot of money is coming in on the terps. It moved from 4.5 to 6 in a day.
I absolutely hate the fact that we had a week off after how we played against Indiana. I wish we had played Maryland as early as last Thursday. Now we’ve had to sit on all this crap for two weeks. Hope I’m wrong, hope I’m dead wrong and we blow them out, but I don’t like this scenario at all. It’s also Maryland’s homecoming.

Sounds like even you are frustrated with the path Greg has taken us on in this second attempt to turn this program into a consistent winner. Yeah I know, we don't raise enough NIL but coaches have done more with less, just saying.

Agree 100% - This is the B1G... Regardless of our W/L - it is a prestigious job in College Football. Who would have thought that taking a HC job at Indiana could win a Championship?

Their Coach is bad but nearly as bad as Schiano.
Locksley is less adept at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Schiano's ice the kicker strategy against Illinois, the explosive bedsh#ttings against UMass, BC, and a bad pre Chesney UCLA team put him far ahead in that race.

So Maryland has more NIL money and a Field House and can't win? Two of Rutgers Al requirements? ;)
According to Mr. Slice of Heaven, coaching doesn't matter. Fieldhouses and money are the only reason programs win. I guess UMass and BC had palatial fieldhouses to compensate for having a fraction of the NIL money RU has.

I don't think some pay attention enough to what is happening on the landscaper. There are always coaches worthy of an opportunity that will take these P4 jobs. It's not to say who you'll hire will be some superstar but just that it will be someone who is worthy of a shot.

Cignetti took IU the losingest program in CFB, Chesney took UCLA in the midst of dysfunction and across the country in an area he hasn't coached before, Dickert also came across the country to coach at WF, pretty much the smallest school out there in the P4. Chip Kelly went to NW to be OC. Manny Diaz and Mike Elko went to Duke.

And Schiano is a control freak that has ruined the program.
