9 AM is when most humans are awake and have energy for the upcoming day.
11 PM is when most humans are getting ready to go to sleep, if they're not already

I have always worked swings (2nd) or mids (3rd) since my service days and I love watching late CFB and CBB games... it is always a bonus when it is a traditional B1G team to me... take Ben McCollums advice and play the damn game and WIN. I used to love staying up on a school night (Monday) and watching the West Coast BBall game that started after sportscenter at 11PM!

You people need to quit complaining about small things like this...

You know what was ridiculous... I had to stay up until Sunday 6am to watch Iowa blow a game @Arizona in Germany! Actually I was pissed we lost but very grateful I got to watch the game on AFN!

I think Orange Bowl game started at 4AM the season the year before on a Tuesday week day... I also unfortunately slept through the damn 09 Penn State game when Clayborn did the block return lol I was at Oktoberfest the 3 days before so I kinda traded that one off lol

But I agree that the West Coast teams shouldn't have 9 AM Pacific time kickoffs without their consent (i.e. those schools would probably consent to a Big Noon Saturday at Ohio St, but not a 9 AM game at Rutgers on BTN).
