I just don't get the dook love.

Charlie Creme released his preseason top 25 today, with UNC at 10. We play teams ranked 1, 4, 8, 14, 19 and 23:

Watkins' USC starts at No. 3 behind South Carolina and UConn, while reigning champ UCLA opens at No. 13.

I think she (plus Harpring and Achol) has a great chance at post season honors, but she was not a starter last year.

The ACC returns a ton of top talent this season; much more than last year.

The ACC Network women with Muffin McGraw sure love Toby almost as much as they dislike UNC Lol.

Her defense is pretty elite. I compare her favorably to Ustby. Affects the game in many ways.

Though to your point, Ustby never received quite as much love as Fournier. Even when Ustby was dominating her every time they matched up.

I certainly don’t think Fournier deserves more votes than Johnson and Izoje. Pierre probably ahead of her a bit as well.

I agree. I do not understand why they pump her up so high. They do her coach the same way. I tell you, they love some Duke.

Hey Jriv, IMO the ACC network women in general have and obvious dislike of the UNC WBB program.

Muffin. McGraw bristles up anytime she has to talk about UNC WBB.

Just as obvious to me is her love for ND (this is fair/her old school) and the dookies and Toby F. (scratch my head)

I think LU should be ranked #1 preseason over the dookies. M McGraw went on and on about Toby F being such a dominate superstar. Kind of made me laugh.

I think Kate is a rare talent and talent will always eventually show up. It might take a few games to warm up but Kate's talent and competitiveness will show through.

I agree totally with you Tarboy. It is kind of funny that when HH was a freshman for ND, M McGraw she surely did not down play HH. I wonder if Kate was either on Duke or ND, I wonder how M McGraw would be pumping her up. The players on our team will need to keep the receipts on what was said by M McGraw and any other analyst and just prove them wrong throughout this season. I hope R. Kelly would take this personal as well. She was Pre Season ALL ACC player last year but was hurt most of the year and this year she is finally healthy and nothing is said about her.

Sometimes I want to have a timer on the amount of time the ACC network crew devotes to each WBB team. My gut tells me we get the short end of the stick but I don’t have any concrete proof.

Since we play Duke twice this year, if we win one of the two games maybe the bias will shift, if we can beat them in the ACCT it will have to shift. No excuses from the media outlets.

I think if Kate has a freshman season like a top-5 recruit (ex: Clark, Bueckers, Chavez, Watkins) she will be 1st team ACC. Toomey, Akot, Brooks also have all-acc potential if the hype is right.

Did they put Kate on the All preseason freshman team? I think they did. The question that I have is this. If our women are predicted to finish third in the conference then how can nobody on our team make one of those teams. This is the hate coming out IMO. As you stated, we will just have top prove them wrong. Go Heels!
