Are we at an all-time low for PSU athletics?

Football sucks. We’ve gone beyond regressing two years removed from the playoff semifinal.

Men’s Hockey is off to a lousy start and has regressed now two years removed from the Frozen Four.

Women’s Volleyball has regressed in the two years since the NATTY.

Basketball? Jesus.

Outside of wrestling, it’s all sh|t.

Maybe we need a new AD.

I agree.. they do lose a lot. After giving this some thought, I've come up with 2 possible explanations. #1 is that we are not as good as the teams we play and #2 is that the teams that we play are better than we are. We could immediately cut half the losses by dropping 16 teams but I don't expect that to happen anytime soon. Imagine the outcry if we cut men's and women's golf!

PSU football is only a win today vs. a very poor Michigan team from the BWICAC declaring the second resurrection. CMC will again be touted as a man of unique talents who took chicken **** and turned it into chicken salad. Have faith!

The hockey team probably needs a new head coach; every season is the same with that team: terrible defense, lack of discipline, constant penalties, and absolutely no structure.

The volleyball team probably needs new direction too.

Given the buyout, I doubt Kraft is going anywhere anytime soon.

Matty Cams will be staying at least for another couple years, even if this year and the next wind up 3-9.

As for the other sports, none are "revenue generators" TTBOMK, other than men's basketball, which has never been a priority for Penn State.

In other words, Penn State is now in a race to the bottom with Rutgres! Oh, and keep those donations coming!

It used to be that getting good coaches was the answer. But now days with NIL, the ability to transfer, etc ... there are a lot more variables involved. I'm not sure what the solution is.

OSU AD, 1.65 base, 2.3 total. UGA AD, 1.5 base, 1.9 total. Obviously, you have to pay more for incompetance. Kraft, 2.2 base (like wtf), and 2.61 total, and guaranteed through 2032.

Our problems run deep. CMC maybe be in over his head. Talent level is low. AD is poor. PSU is cheap except when it comes to admin salaries. PSU and BOT think that the PSU culture should be enough to get athletes. Uh that ain't working. Need to loosen the purse and pay NIL monies. Nothing new, but it lays out our level of problems in a systematic fashion. Heats most likely going up after today.

While it pains my soul to see anyone fail at good honest pursuits it seems to me that a change at this time is necessary. So that begs the question how do they manage to eat his contract at a time of such large expenditures and after he recieved a large new contract.
