Regarding Chatham and Coach Dambacher:
My best-case preseason scenario for the Titans was 6-3, while the worst case was 3-6. By that standard, the Titans slightly overperformed expectations.

It's true they do not have a signature win. It turned out that U High had injury issues all season and graduation hurt QND more than I expected.
The MacArthur loss also looks worse today after Jacksonville routed them last night.

Is there help coming from the lower classes? A mixed bag. The JV is 6-2 before ending the season with SHG. The Freshman are 2-7.

As of now, Soucie projects Chatham traveling to Champaign to face Central next week. That is a winnable game, although Week 11 would likely have them facing Normal Community. If that holds, it's very unlikely we'll see a repeat of their surprise run to the Quarters that occurred in Knoedler's Sophomore season. Those three extra weeks really helped the Titans for the next season.

Chatham has had success in many sports, including multiple state titles. The one potential land mine it appears to me that Dambacher has avoided so far is fan/parent expectations. The Titan base appears to be willing to give him time to develop the program.
All....As we discussed before the season rocketnation my mantra on the new hire was get ready to look for the torches and pitchforks in Chatham before the end of the season. First year at a big school and one starter back who got injured 5-4 is acceptable.

The speed and violence "thing" I thought was a bit cheesy but those players learned an extensive playbook which is a good sign. They just don't have enough overall experience. I liked what I saw last night with all of those formations. Year two will be as they say the tale of the tape for Coach Dambacher. We will see. Ratsy

I remember a hundred years ago you could get a gallon milk shake in tiny Detroit, Illinois... We did a random road trip and saw this shop so we had to try it out. I can't remember the name of the place but it was cool...
lol. it was the detroit dairy delight. i don't know how i remember that as i only stopped at ed & woodies to play slow pitch softball. i'm pretty sure we won the 'beer drinking trophy' 3 years in a row.

All.... Happened to come across the Souce and his predicitons late last night on facebook which included all classes. This morning 1450 am on the radio talked about his projections for the CS8 as well. Here they are. Note these projections were done before the many games still to be played today which could produce changes. Ratsy

6A Chatham 5-4 @ Chamapign Central 5-4.
5A Springfield 3-6 @ Carbondale 7-2
4A QND 4-5 @ Olney (East Richland) 4-4 The Tigers play 3-5 Robinson at 1pm today. Should they lose this could change. Raiders in week eight had three more playoff points then the Tigers.
4A Lincon 3-6 @ Highland 6-3
4A Decatur MacArthur (#8 Bye) Effingham 2-7 @ Mt. Zion 7-2
4A SHG (#4 Bye) 4-5 Jerseyville @ PND 6-3
4A Rochester (#3 Bye) Waterloo 4-5 @ Taylorville 6-3
4A Jacksonville (#6 Bye) East Peoria 4-5 @ Cahokia 6-3

All.... I see one change already from the Souce's early projections. Olney lost to 3-5 Robinson this afternoon. QND and Olney now both 4-5. The Raiders have 45 playoff points and the Tigers 43. So if these two do play each other Olney wll now have to come to QND. Ratsy

Week 10
4a QND at Bethalto Civic Memorial
4a Effingham at Decatur MacArthur
4a Lincoln at Highland
5a Springfield at Carbondale
6a Chatham at Chicago Brooks

Week 11
4a SHG vs the winner of Jerseyville/Peoria Notre Dame
4a Rochester vs the winner of Waterloo/Taylorville
4a Jacksonville vs the winner East Peoria/Cahokia

If Chatham wins, they would face Week 1 opponent Normal West Week 11.
Rochester faced both Taylorville and Waterloo in the playoffs last year.
Jacksonville faced Cahokia in the playoffs last year.

All.... I just happened to have the stats for the Irish and they are not completea according to Maxpreps when they come to Cyclone stadium two weeks from now.

Dallas Harder is the leading rusher among a group of 5 with 75 rushes for 821 yards (10.9) and 12 td's in the eight games listed. Adding up the other four rb's for a total of 2,054 yards and 29 tds . Those are the main rushers.

JR QB Zachary Pribaz in eight games passing 15-38 298 yards with 2 td's and six picks. 21 rushes for 63 yard and 2 td's

Most teams know what you are going to get when playing the Irish. Ratsy
