Have just arrived in Carmichael. 12 Tar Heels currently on the court warming up.
Heels currently stretching and warming up: Nyla Brooks, Achol Akot, Reniya Kelly, Sydney Barker, Laila Hull, Blanca Thomas, Gabby White, Jordan Zubich, Kate Harpring, Noelle Bofia, Chloe Clardy, Taissa Quieroz.
not dressed: Cierra Toomey and Sophie Burrows. Neither appears on crutches or braces- does not look like major injuries

About 20 people here behind the bench to support Noelle Bofia!
Bummer not going to see Toomey or Burrows.
Just arrived also and my first notice was Toomey and Burrows. I’ll see if I can find out anything but doesn’t look serious.
Hopefully Toomey and Sophie being out is just a precaution
Also here! Very excited to see the team and be in Carmichael - my first game here in ages! Really wanted to see CT and Burrows in action but hopefully that means we’ll see more of BT.
And should get to see a lot of Bofia, too.
TQ was on fire from 3 in warm ups. AA also was draining them from outside. TQ’s got great form - can tell she’s really been working on it.
Starters for Carolina: Harpring, Kelly, Brooks, Hull, A2
Banghart confirms on radio that Toomey and Burrows will be held out, but just precautionary. No major injuries. Others unnamed will be on minutes restriction
Hull’s first ever start, though it will not count.
really respect how she and some others have stuck with this team.

12-8 Davidson at the TO. A little rusty start as expected. Blanca first sub off the bench for Harpring who was a little frustrated with herself coming off the court.
really good to see Reniya healthy and moving well. Kid deserves the best.
I don’t want to read too much into a game with minutes restriction but White in before Clardy seems notable.
Harping misses her 4th lay-up/around the basket of the quarter and mouths, “what am I doing wrong?”. First game jitters, she’ll be fine.
She’s also at the end of the bench besides Syd, Toomey, and Burrows.
Harpring getting to the basket at will. Just not converting yet.
Free throws… ugh. Why don’t any of them bend their knees when shooting them? Drives me nuts.
Assuming Chloe is on restrictions, she’s got a decent sized brace on her knee.

Definitely thought we would have seen her by now. Have to wonder if she’s on a minutes restriction or something.
UNC’s goal in a quarter is to hold the opponent to 10 or less. We often do that against mid-majors. 15 is kind of the acceptable bar. Davidson scores 22. I am not there to see it but it sounds like our defense is not on point as of yet.
