What a brutal way for Indiana's 22-game winning streak to end

That was the perfect call. OSU had 11 men on the LOS. The game-winning pass was as WIDE OPEN as the Grand Canyon. And then the sideline got in the way. Can you imagine Iowa losing like that . . . to OSU . . . @ home . . . to break a 22-game winning streak?

Indiana missed a pair of field goals by inches, one clanking off an upright, the other apparently grazing the front of the crossbar as it fell just short. And then it looked like the Hoosiers were going to win it anyway with that brilliant 4th down call, but the fates intervened and saved the Blue Blood that had been completely fooled. That just ain't right.

Indiana did not play winning ball.

I bet against them the moment they missed the first FG, as I do any time a team misses a FG. Huge baramoter for the head space of a losing team. Just like FT's in hoops

osu won because of two hugely lucky plays. the insane 4th and 1 hail mary TD and the last play of the game. osu led throughout this game i believe but it sure felt like they were losing throughout at least to me.

40 year Indiana football fanatic and it was excruciating!!! Marsh just had zero body control that concluded with very sloppy footwork. Becker should've been the target in that situation.

Nobody has cared about Indiana football for 40 straight years. Come on man with this bologna. I attended the 2002 Iowa game in Bloomington with an announced attendance of 33,000, and it didn’t have that many actual butts in seats.. A lot of the people there were Iowa fans, probably 20% give or take. Meanwhile the basketball scrimmage in Assembly Hall after the game was pretty much standing room only.

Can we imagine Iowa losing like that??? You got to be kidding. How about Dejean's non-fair catch officiating crap thing. How about Wetjen just getting a toenail out of bounds late agianst USC last year. Were you at the Ohio St win over Fry's team at Kinnick where Ohio St scored twice on deflected balls, once to end the first half on about the last play and a repeat to end the game.

Most teams go through this. Most teams miss FGoals even short ones in games. You do know that Ohio St missed a 45 or so yard FG with about 5 minutes to go in their loss at Texas this year. All teams go through this and Iowa has had plenty of it happen to them. Kirk had the long win streak at Kinnick end against Mich around 2005 or so thanks to a no call on an obvious holding penalty.

I dont feel sorry for Indy because last year they got lucky against us and they beat Penn St on about the last second of the game last year by a wild catch where the receiver got is toe in bounds by a 1/4 inch at the back of the endzone. Either of these two games would have cut down Indy's winning streak. Luck commeth and goeth.

no sympathy here. We've had more than our fair share of heartbreakers and bad breaks over the decades. Including 4 last year (one to Indy)

Duke you hit it on the head and wow that had to sting as Marsh (sp)? Started to celebrate a tad early I think but steps out of bounds… what a **** way to lose a game… however IU got away with so many wins like that last year and how they stole the game from Iowa and PSU… so this year Iowa’s starting to win the close games like they didn’t last year…

Could have put Ohio State into a must win situation the rest of the season, or no playoffs. I would rather have seen that as the outcome!
