How far north will you go to determine your player of the year for the sun-times? Richmond-Burton's Hunter Carley has over 2,000 yds, and 38 TDs in 9 games. He has carried the ball 114 times this year, giving him an average of 18yds/carry. He is the best tailback in the state that no one knows about. He also plays defense for the rockets. I saw in 2022 that the Prairie Ridge QB won the award after a ridiculous year, but beyond that, I don't think many have won the award from "up north". Keep up the good work!

Which teams that would have previously not qualified for the playoffs under the old system have the best chance of making a run? I believe Yorkville and Naz are the only two 4-5 teams that would have qualified under the old system (correct me if im wrong). Therefore, any of the other current qualifiers with a 4-5 or below record are up for consideration.

I think that 4-5 St. Francis has a good shot to go all the way to the title game in a very weak 5A bracket. If I am right, is this a good or bad thing when considering the pros/cons of the new system?
