Agree. At this moment it's Hank and everyone else lol.Not sure why anyone would be surprised since we had two weeks between games for them to keep working this out in practice and both have had their moments

#1 we have to see if the offense can run the ball consistently well to make play action passing comfortable and #2 watch the QB that starts to check if they are going thru there stuff, progressions, reads, seeing the field and open receiver, and throwing good catchable balls.Heck gave us a spark at the end of the Ohio State game and all game vs Washington.
To me, I actually would be surprised if they went back to Hank (espeically with Lester having a say). Heck has that "it" factor. You can't ignore that and the 41 points the offense put up on the road at Washington.
So basically you’re saying when the hawks are on offense watch to see if we can run the ball well and throw the ball well? Okay I’ll remember that.#1 we have to see if the offense can run the ball consistently well to make play action passing comfortable and #2 watch the QB that starts to check if they are going thru there stuff, progressions, reads, seeing the field and open receiver, and throwing good catchable balls.
No, if we cant run the ball well there is a good chance we lose.So basically you’re saying when the hawks are on offense watch to see if we can run the ball well and throw the ball well? Okay I’ll remember that.
Agree 100%, but unfortunately history is not on your side, unless Kirk 2.0 makes an unexpected appearance....Heck gave us a spark at the end of the Ohio State game and all game vs Washington.

I'm NOT arguing that Heck shouldn't get a shot. I'm saying we all KNEW with two weeks between games this was going to be a topic of discussion unless Hank was ruled out still.Heck gave us a spark at the end of the Ohio State game and all game vs Washington.

If you can't pass you usually can't run, and usually loseNo, if we cant run the ball well there is a good chance we lose.
Of course it is close. Lester's been saying that for 8 months. Its the few posters who want to drag up supposed memories, (some of them ridiculous) about QB's from 25 years ago.I’ve always been team Heck. But I will not be too upset if they go with Brown. When the running game is humming, both QBs have excelled. When the running game is struggling, I’m not sure either QB is a game breaker.
I don’t see this QB controversy to be as stark as Stanzi / Christensen, for example. It’s very close.
I dont agree with that and neither do all the great wing T teams going way back like Iowa that ran all over teams but didnt pass the ball a lot, and the wishbone teams, and the I formation teams with a fullback like USC that had many many great run teams and tailbacks that won Heismans and they ran all over people, and many other styles. Saban's Bama teams were run first with Derrick Henry and others. If you can't pass you usually can't run, and usually lose
Brown has had far more opportunities. Hecklinski has been far more effective, with the exception of Brown's game-winner @ Michigan. Hecklinski brings an extra dimension to this offense, including the ability to throw on the run and to get rid of the ball quickly. Brown is an adequate backup, although Jimmy Sullivan might pass him, as Hecklinski did last season. Not sure why anyone would be surprised since we had two weeks between games for them to keep working this out in practice and both have had their moments
KF has a track record, and his choice of QBs is always wrong. It's a fact. You apparently don't like that fact, but putting your head in the sand won't change reality. Hecklinski gives this team the best chance to win, and it ain't even close. For evidence, see OSU and Washington. Hell, the QB "competition" was SO even that Brown has started EVERY damn game except when injured. Brown even started vs. NIU and UNI! That was ridiculous. In a quarter of a century, the guy who named his son the OC AND QB coach still can't get out of his own way when it comes to QBs and the offense. That's a damn shame. And it's the damn truth.Of course it is close. Lester's been saying that for 8 months. And you CLEARLY don't know your backside from a hole in the ground, and yet you keep posting the same tripe. The track record you keep bringing up is pure nonsense. Banks was NOT ready to be a D1 P4 QB when he got to Iowa. That's a fact, and yet you keeping calling that a blotch on the coaches. Dude was a good athletes who had NEVER played a game as a D1 QB and even more so in a major conferences. Yet this continued nonsense 25 years later that he was the best option when he got here from a Juco. Please state your FACTS that he was ready for the job of running our offense in his junior year. Ruddock was not nearly as bad an option INITIALLY, and CJB was pretty wild when he first got a shot. He's even admitted that. Do you think the FACT that pick six Rick threw so many BAD interceptions even as an upperclassman, may have shown just how loose he was his first couple of years with the ball? Would that have played into the coaches being concerned with his early playing time? The end result does not mean the initial options weren't the right one. Couple that with this nonsense that QB's don't get better at Iowa. Pure crap. Banks, Beathard, Stanzi certain'y got better as have the two guys competing right now.KF has a track record, and his choice of QBs is always wrong. It's a fact. I think you're beating a dead horse. And I thought I had the unpopular opinions.....Brown has had far more opportunities. Hecklinski should have been the starter from day one. Everyone saw kids' day. It wasn't even close. But behind closed doors, according to KF, Brown edged Hecklinski out. Sure. Just like McCann was better than Banks, Christensen better than Stanzi, and Rudock better than Beathard. Not to mention KF is the guy who actually started Deacon freakin' Hill for ten games! OMG! But Brown was predictable as KF's choice, because when it comes to QBs, KF is always wrong. No one will ever convince me that Lester thinks Brown should be the starter.
Phillips said he's fine after the extra week off.No Tyler Brown or L.J. Phillips listed.
Hope they get healthy soon.
Kf named heck the starter, which must mean he is the wrong guy as you indicated that KF is never right on qb decisionsKF has a track record, and his choice of QBs is always wrong. It's a fact. That sucks cuz I wanted to beat the gophers and now we have no chance. Fire kf!
Yeah well then ya know what, tell the other teams to not take away our run game, and actually let us run the f***ing ball! No, if we cant run the ball well there is a good chance we lose.

No. He wants his choice at QB because the other guy is MAGA and preaches all the time. He's already told everyone this.I think you're beating a dead horse. And I thought I had the unpopular opinions.....
Kids day?? Seriously? Kid's Day????
This guy want's his choice at QB because of Kid's Day????
