Iowa Women's Basketball: Frontcourt Preview

Very interested to see Journey Houston in a different role this year.

Will Houston make a big leap this year? If she can be a legitimate shooting threat from the perimeter I really like her prospects because she can also drive to the basket and score, a dual threat.

Can she defend outside the lane? We already know she will scrap for rebounds. Looks like she is poised to make a big impact. Can’t wait for the season to begin.

Nice work Kyle, Really seems like adding another 6-2,6-3 type 3-4 is priority one for next season. (Was really hoping to get Sierra Williams). Nation Williams of course would be a great add but most videos I have seen show her to be pretty dominant inside but needs work on her perimeter game.

I don’t know if Jan would want NWilliams looking to score outside the lane area too often. She is such a powerful force under the basket. I think she is the type of player who will draw double teams down low as she gets more experience.

I fully get your point, I am looking more of how she fits with Ava,And Jan wanting to go back to the read and react offense. Nation would seem to put Iowa back in the double post high low offense they ran with Hannah. She seems talented enough that you don’t pass if she wants to play at Iowa.
