He’s on to being a philosopher now. He’s finally getting asked some real questions and can’t answer them. Then he runs out. The question on why AJ hasn’t developed goes straight to the heart of Schiano’s inabilities. And he punted.

I really hope our next coach is a straight shooter. It’s refreshing to hear coaches tell it like it is.

That had an ash/late flood vibe to it. Fk. We barely have enough money to get the roster turned around. There is no way we have enough to pay old staff/new staff and upgrade the roster. This feels like a lost decade coming.

Where do you get this information. Do you have details of the usual speculation.

The world isn't ending Francis.

You think the AD has been sitting on her pretty little hands having afternoon tea and crumpets all this time?

He does and we do. Nothing. If he was going to be fired it would have been after the Indiana beat down and before the bye. He will be coaching through next year at least.

Zinn won’t have postgame fireworks any more, so at least she’ll do a little something to lessen the national embarrassment, emphasis on little.

I can say with high certainty that he has no idea what's happening behind the scenes within the AD.

And you’d be correct but I do have 30 years of experience watching Rutgers and our alumni base operate. If there is a cornucopia of funding, why are we a bottom third NIL? What massive hidden alumni/corporate source didn’t give when we were trending positive after the pinstripe bowl but will all of a sudden fund this massive turnaround. I believe Kelly would have made a tenable situation much better. THIS requires 100mm+ of faith by some financial sponsor(s). Not in NJ. Not at Rutgers. I would LOVE to be wrong.

She arrived a little over a year ago and had to reverse 4 years of nothing being done with NIL.

Did you expect that to happen overnight?

Greg had the most funds he's ever had available to use this past portal season due to her efforts in a short period of time. Unfortunately, he botched it mainly due to his lollygagging on the DC hire.

Her whole focus has been on raising money across the board through sponsorships, increasing the NIL base and other projects. There are multiple things that have been mentioned on the pay side with larger amounts of money coming into the AD.

His body language tells me Dylan may be done. Sean will get the majority of reps I’ll wager, and the AJ experience is over. He will transfer down a notch.

I’ve heard Ashenfelder is about 5’11”. If so, he’s depth and not really competing for QB IMO unless the offense changes to a running QB.

Richie, who is not infallible but does have sources, has made it clear that barring an unlikely turnaround (which is even more unlikely after today), Schiano is gone at the end of the season.

According to Richie's sources, Schiano is only still here "out of respect". Translation - the program's major benefactors are Schiano backers, and they wanted to give him every opportunity to turn the season around, as he promised he would. That is still theoretically possible, but he has very little rope left.

Respect Shelby’s arse. The Respect bus ran out of gas last year. It’s a shame the money people care more for his feelings than for the university, the football team and the fans..which is why the team stinks.

Low energy loser !

We hired a kid from Wake Forest ay office. It’s sad but I wish Rutgers could be them.
Fans are so excited by their coach and season. Of course HC will leave but it sounds like he will be back next year

But to be a fan and remember checking the rankings Monday and seeing your team?! Those were the good times man.

Not much good left in college football but a team like Wake is a good story. Because they are in a conference now owned by Miami but then everyone else has a chance for at least a winning season and a bowl game. Which I guess matters less to people now. Give me back my sport.

I wouldn't waste time ratuonalizing with that poster. There's something not quite right with him......between his continual 3rd person references and his obsessive posts about Schiano never getting fired similar to how he posted the Wimsatt would continually stay at RU and the starter. Many suspect he's a troll from Sara or State Penn and have him on ignore.

Separating from Schiano will not be easy but I agree will happen. Too much fan backlash that will manifest in ticket sales drops and donation dips.

Credit to Brian Fonseca from NJ.com. Asked some good, tough questions that GS couldn’t answer. You have to love the answer to Fonseca’s question about Surace being in the program for over 3 years and his very apparent lack of development. Fonseca asks “How does that happen”? Schiano’s answer “How does anything happen”? Really? Yes it’s all in the cosmos, life is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. He’s got to be kidding .
