We made the most mistakes I can recall, both QBs missed wide open throws. MN was gifted a win and Iowa could have been top 12 with a win they easily should have had. **** this

Not irrelevant. Just not looking as good as everyone thought. KF is notorious for losing games after a bye week.
Wide open WRs and the QBs can't hit them. So many penalties and a blocked punt. Debacle. If they go 10-2 it won't be enough.

We lost our #1 RB and #21 whiffs on a pick up block and Hank gets stripped. #21 fumbles after a gain and we were lucky to get it back. Fumbled punt return at the end cost us 50 yards and the win more than likely. I knew our punt returner would cost us sooner or later...
I would agree, top 10 easily. A putrid performance from a team that should've won by three touchdowns with how many opportunities they had.
We were a couple extremely lucky tipped passes from losing to a bad Michigan team. Iowa isn’t going anywhere with these two quarterbacks.
Time for KF to hang it up. If you can’t have your team prepared for a game like this, you need to pass the torch to someone who will.

Yep Iowa wins on about 10 what ifs but Evans fumble at that time was brutal considering where we had the ball.
I didn’t feel that way at all going into this game. I thought they had a shot at the playoffs. Really depressing.
Purdue has a good qb. We do not. We have a pair of 8-4 qb’s.

Neither have I. This game was cursed, we even fumbled on a late punt return that would've maybe won it. We even had a penalty giving the other team 7. On their last drive, we should've blitzed and forced a quick decision, instead we rush 4 and he finds a zone failure for 40 yards. So even though the D played really well, they had unclutch WTF moments. All three phases were screwing up all day.
Why was Brown even trying to throw the ball down the middle with 10 seconds left and no timeouts to end the first half, btw? That should be a deep sideline route to a tall receiver. Instead he dances around and throws a pick to cost us 3?
A little over half way into the season and Iowa's remaining five games are essentially relegated to exhibition games.

I'd say Iowa has 5-7 qbs that the defense will carry to 8-4. Like usual. Phil knows you can't allow 13 points and think that is going to be good enough for a KF offense. Gonna have to clean some things up

Ferentz is one of the WORST offensive minds in college fb history. So disgusting, year after year after year.
I’m confident we will most likely have a few down seasons after Ferentz leaves, but I’m also confident I’m ready to see what we can do with new blood. Ferentz should hang it up. I hope it doesnt get ugly.

I went ballistic at the play where McNeil missed the pass at the middle of the field. High schoolers don’t make that mistake.
