We beat out OSU head to head for this rb. Seems like his final star rating will go up as well. OSU is obviously OSU and 100x better than us this year, but they are also having bad running game issues. They really wanted Hall.
Even better news if true: insiders on TOS are saying that a BIG MONEY PSU DONOR had everything to do with this kid coming in, and that same donor along with a few others are all in with the portal as well this year.
We (OSU) will have Bo Jackson and Isaiah West, both sophmores, and Favour Akih, a 4 star freshman from the 2026 class coming back in 2027 (of course with NIL that is subject to change). I would think the staff will probably go to the portal for another RB like they did last year when they got Ja'Kobi Jackson from Florida.
The problem with our inconsistent running game this year has more too do with our OL. A bunch of 4th and 5th year players have not performed as well as expected.
Kid probably wanted a chance to play right away. Wide open tryouts next year here.
I would trade your problems for our problems any day of the week.
Watching you turn against Penn State has been the best and most accurate example of a fool being exposed in a long time. By the way the kid is FAR BETTER than his ranking and damn well right that Ohio State wanted him badly and had him as their #1 target.
Watching you choke and gag in the next few years as Penn State returns to the top of the game will be the sweetest thing imaginable.

Our (OSU) #1 RB target was David Gabriel Georges (#2 RB in the 2027 class) who picked Tennesse over OSU this summer. Hall came into the picture at the beginning of the high school football season.
If Ohio State wanted him bad enough they would have gotten him. If you wish to do back flips over a mid 3 star commit, why let me rain on your parade? Remember when all the fan boys insisted Wood was the bomb? If and when Penn State starts to recruit top 150-250 prospects, I'll be happy. It wasn't that long ago PSU was attracting top 5 or 10 in the nation rated running backs. This is exciting to you? Seriously? Get a grip.

Somehow its blasphemy to suggest that Penn State will not improve it's on field results with the 7th or 8th best recruiting class in the conference. Remember this summer when everyone insisted that all the 3 star recruits would surely see a bump in ranking and be solid 4 star prospects? Still waiting. This young man simply didn't want to wait his turn at Ohio State.

OSU supposedly has a steadfast rule. They will not give any kid coming out of HS more than 1M. They may cost them some recuits.
It ain't hurting them much. If you give 1 million to a 3 star you are in deep trouble.

Yeah, he's lonely and angry about life after losing his wife. He takes out his anger by being an obnoxious, negative know-it-all and taking constant shots at PSU past, present, and future.
You are right. I am happy about this recruit, but between the nonexistent 26 class and a 27 class that needs help, we still need a heck of a lot - another upper level wr, a qb, another edge just to start. We are in danger of losing Betton so probably another lb. Total rebuild. We’ll get there.
If Franklin would have gotten him you'd be talking about how great it is to steal someone from Ohio that Ohio State was showing interest in

No one thought Wood was "the bomb"--he was always depth
He was one of the few on here that supported PSU the past few years, but since he’s not on the Franklin hate train, he’s suddenly taking shots at PSU. So shots at Franklin were okay, but shots at Campbell are shots at PSU, interesting.
Get him on campus in January and maybe he can contribute in '27.
1) RBs are rather "cheap" (Aside from the top few, they are like buses, there is always another one coming around the corner)
2) No one is even stretching their budget for a RB who is not rated highly by anyone, and whose displayed skills are not close to anything special.
(To be honest, if this kid flipped to another school - I doubt he will - PSU fans would take about 2 seconds to give him the WIll Wood treatment. Probably rightly so)
3) In the meantime, he is a second RB recruit for 2027 that - assuming they both sign - will provide some depth to a thin position. Allowing PSU to avoid paying "portal money" to fill out the 2027 RB roster. So that's all good. (In a year where they will likely have to find $$ to sign at least 30 - maybe 40? - portal guys just to fill out the roster)
I render my opinion. I'm not here to kiss babies and make friends. Fact is, PSU fans have long been entitled and delusional. I"m on record as stating that the best thing about this team is the schedule. Was I wrong?
Now. I see no reason this team cannot win at least 4 of the final games. Can the Cylions get off the Matt and beat mighty Purdue, Rutgers and Maryland? Split with Washington and Minnesota? If not it's worse than I thought. Some here are reduced to getting giddy about a commitment from a running back that is rated 60-70th in the country. Insisting that he's underrated. Like we haven't heard that about every 3 star this staff received a commitment from. So, he's underrated. Does that make him #40? How far the mighty have fallen.
