I thought it was early in the season to start the thread. But I went back and checked, and I started the '25 thread in September.

Please use this thread to discuss all coaching changes that take place during or after the 2026 College Football Season.

I wonder if FSU had not played so gallantly against Miami last week whether Norvell would've been fired this week, as I believe that FSU is off this week.

Riley will be gone after a 5 loss season. Will lose to OSU at home against a backup QB, then lose to Indiana and cap it off losing to UCLA in a rivalry game.

I think this is likely
I also wouldn't be shocked if he beats Indiana and UCLA convincing USC to give him one more year.

A little surprised that Aranda was fired now--they were likely looking at 6-6 or maybe another 5-7 season. Locksley and Doeren were more obvious IMO
I do agree that there's no point to keep a coach to the end of the year--especially when they know they're gone

Sure sounds like Rivers can have the NC State job if he wants it--probably tough to say no with his son going there next year

Assuming Lincoln Riley gets fired...how quickly will he have an offer from Baylor?

Norvell is owed $50.3m in a buy-out.

I thought it could happen last year and BGJ would get a sniff. I’m sure his name will be in the mix.

Norvell was at FSU way too long--one fluke season ruined them for almost a decade
Dabo's probably crying somewhere about it right now

He won't be
BGJ doesn't want that kind of pressure
Programs like FSU don't want a guy that can't win a title.
Kenny Dillingham (ASU) is likely their first call. Manny Diaz, Jeff Brohm, Eli Drinkwitz, Mike Elko, Rhett Lashlee, Glenn Schumann (who I would have loved to hire) and Charles Huff all would be names I'd expect before James
James is happy where he is--there's no real pressure. He lost to Pitt and Cal without real criticism.

on a roll--you've definitely lost your mind
They're not even ranked and have losses to Cal and Pitt
They luckily avoided Duke, Wake and Louisville this year (sad that's the list)
