I don’t watch the giants much but didn't they have the lead last game and the defense couldn’t protect the lead. Again they have the lead and they can’t protect the lead.
No, they were down 34-10 and made a furious comeback only to fall short at the endzone last game to tie. This game is squarely on the kicker who is hitting less than 50% of his kicks the last three games.

Lets not forget how good JJ played too today. That pass to Nabers before halftime was unreal.

Great 1st half. I thought he was a little jittery in the 2nd but still made some throws.

And no turnovers(him or the team) which is huge.

Yeah Zvada gonna cost them the game. He will get cut and become a top 5 kicker with another team. Meanwhile every FG kicker seems to have season/career longs vs the Giants
I think they know the kid has talent, and thus will want to keep him.

Can they practice squad him at this point?

I see they finally uncorked. With a #4 pick at left tackle and a #10 pick at guard I'm hoping for more than a set of RBs that can't get over 4 ypc every week.

Thomas has been playing with a groin injury which is impacting his push, Runyan is just serviceable at best, Mauligoa is adjusting to the switch to Guard and the lackluster center play.

Also, this is the slowest RB room in the NFL. Lots of holes that Harbaugh needed to plug and couldn't get to them all. Guessing that we will see a RB and Center change/addition next season if not sooner.

Huge to go into the bye off a win like that. So many guys banged up - Likely, Skattebo, Tracy, Thomas, Elumenor and more. Root for Philly tonight to build a 2.5 game lead on Dallas.

I'm still not sure whether this team is particularly good, but I'm damn sure that they've been fun to watch for 7 games, even after we lost our two best players. You get to see players like Elumenour, Carter, Reese, and Lightly blossoming into top players; players like Nabers, Holland, and even an injured Thomas show why they're really good, even great; and QBs like Dart, and now maybe McCarthy, show that you can win with them. The Giants may ultimately turn out to be an average or worse team, but they come to play. And the one time they didn't come to play (defense, in particular, not hustling and RBs not doing much against New Orleans), they came back the next week with purpose. It's a pleasure not to see a coach constantly losing his **** on the sidelines and hovering around the concussion tent like a kooky stalker; instead, this coach seems to be on top of just about everything and fixing it quietly, not with fits. A current example is the approach that he took with the kicker post game yesterday--"he's young, he'll work through it." I bet the kicker loved that. I'm not sure that it'll ultimately work. But I hope it does, and I'm damn sure that the former coach having a hissy fit would not work.

I still wonder whether Schoen will hamstring us, even with Harbaugh clearly in charge of personnel too. But I'm sure enjoying the season.

Keep an eye on Keaton Mitchell. Runs a 4.3. Played for Harbaugh in Baltimore. Chargers are going to be in firesale mode at the deadline.

Deonte Banks is becoming the unsung hero of the D backfield. A year ago, he looked horrible and lost. I will eat crow, as I thought this 1st rd. draft pick was going to turn out to be a waste of a 1st rounder. Now, he's our clear cut CB 1 and moving into the ranks of one of the better CB's in the NFL.

I think NYGs have to look at their training methods. I quicks look and I read

"The New York Giants strength and conditioning program focuses on explosive power, eccentric loading, force production, and progressive overload—gradually increasing weight, reps, or hold times to force muscular and neurological adaptation."

"Eccentric loading is a strength training technique where a muscle actively lengthens while under tension, such as when lowering a weight or resisting gravity"

For me all that ^^^ means constantly finding and stressing your limits in ways that are damaging. Race cars driven to their limits need pit crews to keep them running. Drive any car to within max speed, breaking, turning limits etc and there will be problems. I dont think cosntantly working upper linmits of capacity actually does any good. Its worse that connective tissues don't adapt like muscles. That is always a problem with steroids - grows muscles out of whack with connectors

I see injuries' all over sports and I look at the routines and finds same problems. In football the guys don't want to practice so they work out more and to no good imo. When Barkley was up for the draft I had reservations about his excessive lifting and extra muscles. Carls Banks said the same thing. I would always take "couintry strong" types (Reggie White) over the specimen types (Vernon Gholston)
