OT: DJK update coaching at DIII Thiel College

A replay of the 2009 Iowa at OSU game popped up on youtube and I remembered DJK's great kick return late to stun the crowd. It made me wonder what he is doing and he is OC and QB coach at this private school. Good for him, always liked him as a player and we came to know his free spirit.

I know KF was pretty harsh of players using drugs, I cant remember if DJK was caught using drugs or just associated with a tenant/roommate who was using/dealing. Long ago story.

I think DJK is still in the hawk record books for yardage or TDs

Odd that a "culture cancer" played on the best teams we've had at Iowa in 20 years. Imagine what we could have been without having an ELITE college WR with swagger. Wait...we don't have to imagine. We've seen it at Iowa every year since DJK graduated and it's been abysmal. Who needs a "culture cancer" to have 8 catches per game and breakaway speed when we can have more 5'10 Nico Ragainis with 4.7 speed out there to catch those 5 yard out patterns.

He was talented but had baggage, the kind of baggage that you just can't allow. The world is full of talented players who didn't make the NFL because of baggage.

Wasn’t he a Coach or Athletic Administrator in Ohio for bit? Thought he was relieved of those duties due to unacceptable behavior with the enrolled co-Ed’s.

REally, I didnt know or remember that, well that is instant suspension or worse because KF is zero tolerance on drugs, witness the Kalil Hill iirc season suspension for taking PEDs, and Adam Robinson.

I now remember both games.

The first one was so cold I was sitting on a block of ice and said I'd walk home to Iowa if we lost. I didn't... wuss, I know.

The other game I broke my phone as I acted like a child because all group chats were blowing up mad.

All 3 games disgust me.

Someone else replied with DJK really messing with drugs and as I said I either forgot that or never read it. I was a college kid once so............... Well sounds like he is maybe doing ok now
