Kirk will go out on own terms. Anyone who thinks otherwise can just start banging their head against a brick wall now. I bet Kirk teaches kids to turn the ball over and let a blocker through to block punts.

Check the schedule as Wisky vs Iowa and the next week is Iowa at NW. I am hoping Oregon plays for Dan Lanning's job and takes care of NW and beats them up a bit.

Then NW is at OSU after they play Iowa so hope they are looking ahead and the hawks put a hurtin' on the MildCats. We dont need them getting very good each year. Coach Fitz knew how to beat Kirk and I like beating jNW all the time like we used to.

Did you see what happened during that blocked punt? Were we faking the fake punt with Lutmer running across the formation of was that to get him loose to run downfield and cover. Whatever was going on the hawks only had 2 blockers behind the LOS and they always have THREE blockers there, mess up by the players, messed up signals from the sideline, bad play call. Whatever that was a self-inflicted wound.

Now who knows, even punting from about the 25 if they get if off Minny might have driven 40 yards to still get the FG. But the odds of that were minimal the way our defense shut them down after the blocked punt and thru out the game.

Teams can beat themselves with mental mistakes which include penalties, lining up offsides, not catching easy passes to catch. Fumbles are usually caused by the opponent as our some INTs where the defender makes a great play.

With your logic there wouldnt be many MAJOR upsets like Auburn winning at Georgia this year (didnt see that game but I assume Georgia made some mistakes which I did look up and they did make a few critical bonehead errors)

If the hawks finish 10-2 in the Big10 and a lot of other teams will get their 3rd and 4th losses they will climb to polls a lot by selection time. But as I said the hawks have to play near perfect ball to do that with our iffy run game

I agree, 16 teams MAX PERIOD END OF EXPANSION, PERIOD. 24 teams adds a whole week to the friggin money grab while diluting things with San Diego St or New Mexico 24th seed playing let's say at Indiana or Notre Dame or some other strong 8th seed.

Our punt block alignment on that block was bad, off, not usual, very unusual with Lutmer in motion. That was big mistake in coaching, planning, something so it does come down to the coaches most likely. And if you dont remember this poor alignment go back and watch it, it was something I have never seen a KF team do

Honestly, IMHO the only way would be if Iowa completely blows out the rest of the teams on their schedule and runs up the score massively. To show the offense / QB thing is now fixed. Or maybe I'm just weary of being optimistic, idk..

Yup, unlike basketball - there are no Cinderella's making deep runs...

We are not winning out. I will be shocked if we win tomorrow. Hope I am wrong, but this team has major gaps. O line, QB. You cannot hide those.
