USA Wrestling just released the list of entries for the Bill Farrell next weekend.

*Reminder that there's a 2kg allowance and anyone American who places top three automatically qualifies for the revamped US Open/WTT next April.

Here are the past/present Hawkeyes + current club affiliated athletes on the list:

(Men’s Freestyle)

57kg – Dean Peterson

61kg – Austin DeSanto

74kg – Michael Caliendo

79kg – Patrick Kennedy

97kg – Stephen Buchanan, *Massoma Endene

125kg – Crew Howard (HWC)

(Women’s Freestyle)

50kg – Gracie Figueroa (IWWC), Felicity Taylor

53kg – Karlee Brooks, Taylor Whiting

57kg – Bella Williams

Still a former Hawk. Like Real Woods. I’ll keep rooting for Caliendo, you do you. Mo was actually a member of HWC too. I agree his time is short, I probably wouldn’t claim him. Caliendo gave us 3 years….

I am perfectly fine claiming both of them still to keep tabs on, especially in an announcement like this. This idea of guys being dead to us as soon as they leave the program is absolutely asinine

Because I cover past/present/future Iowa wrestlers and those affiliated with the two RTCs…

Caliendo gave the men’s program three amazing years and graduated as a Hawkeye. So, I’m going to cover his career as a post-grad - wherever that may be.

As for Endene, that’s a different story. Which is why I put an * next to his name.
