You don't even donate though. You count your season ticket/parking pass as a donation.

If there is a triangle with ARROGANT, WRONG, and CHEAP at the 3 corners, you cannot be all 3. You can get away with 2 max. And yet you are all 3. It makes your posts even more viscerally annoying
You have no clue, buddy. I donate a hell of a lot of money. If everyone did as much as I did, we’d be national champions.

You give nothing to football, and don’t go to games, so you can STFU and sit down. I don’t think you can even name a player on the team.
I already gave more money than you ever will in your life. The only reason people know who you are is because you got barred from official functions because of the creepy Higgins video you made. That is in addition to being barred from certain tailgates for scaring women. You’re one creepy dude Tootsie Roll

I highly doubt that. I belong to the best tailgate at Rutgers. No one is inviting you to any tailgates because you’re too big an Ahole.

In Al’s defense (how many handles do you have on this board?), he’s being attacked from all sides, so he’s firing back aimlessly.

Al, People don’t want to support a loser. It’s that simple. I’d argue that Rutgers has the best fans in college football. Given the historically pathetic performance of this program, it’s a miracle we can still out 25-30K in the stadium on any given night.

The fan base was so excited for the season of two years ago; then last year. Shitting the bed then destroyed everyone’s confidence in Greg. People are tired of the same excuses. They simply choose to spend their money elsewhere. It’s not complicated. Greg had his chance. And blew it big time. At no other university would he be given such a long leash.

You just confirmed my facts. 18 through 8 are very similar in spending. Combine that with his bloated staff spending that is near the top and the fact he’s getting beat by everyone except the school who just fired their coach and he is exactly what it looks like he is. One big loser.

want to bet he gets canned?
This is what you’re missing. Our capital expense is much lower than peers, and this is what affects the caliber of kid we can recruit. Northwestern literally just spent $1B on facilities. USC just opened up a brand new facility. Every other Big Ten school has a really nice football facility. Maryland spent roughly $300M on theirs. Even Oregon, who has spared no expense, is also building a brand new facility, in spite of having a facility that is much better than ours. Michigan has two football facilities, which make Rutgers look like Amateur hour. An auxiliary and a Main.

I don’t know what he or you do, but I do know that at least 90% of the fanbase hates Schiano right now and wants him gone.
I do enough to have the AD’s mobile phone numbers. DeadbeatAl considers his one parking pass and one season ticket as a “donation”. He doesn’t do anything which is the irony in all of his whining. Mid level tech guy who makes no money so I do not blame him for not being a player, but he should just stfu because of it. As to his love of a loser coach, it’s beyond bizarre at this point.

Show Umass’s facilities and “capital expenses”. Then show Michigans spend on staff and operations.

Meanwhile coaches are on record that recruits only care about how much they are getting paid now and it's easier to recruit because of it. But Al continues to push a narrative that's a decade behind the times.

The fanbase doesn’t love Rutgers football enough to toss money its way.
Correction. The fan base doesn’t love bad football.

The 2006 season with 1 marquee win with no conference title and a crappy bowl literally by itself tripled and maybe even quadrupled revenue and led to a 10,000 fan waiting list for tickets.

One season that most fan bases experience at least once every 5 years if not more. Can you imagine if we had won 1-2 conference titles in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012? Got to a couple big time bowls? Can you imagine if we had another 2006 in 2008 and 2011 instead it sh-tting the bed both seasons?

You just don’t understand.

Maryland fired their coach. RU was one smaller shoe size away from blowing that game. They were toe to toe with Iowa in the first half. Until their coaches did what real coaches do. They adjusted. Iowa scored 17 points in the 4th quarter. RU had the bright idea of kicking off to a 2 time All B1G kick returner, who RETURNED THE KICK FOR A TD. These things are certainly coaching related. Not asking for perfection. I'm asking for some basic level of competence, which is the difference between being below .500 with a bunch of disgraceful WTF losses and above 500 with a respectable, even good, record.
He just sees all of this stuff as random events that nobody has any control over.

‘The QB got injured’ he says as if something beyond anybody’s control happened. No, the QB dove head first in a situation where the risk/reward profile by no means warranted it as it was 2nd and 8 in the first drive of the game.

As you pointed out, kicking to Dejean.

Calling the time out vs Illinois.

Not challenging the goal line play against Nebraska and then that same game, waiting way too long to make an adjustment on offense.

UCLA game, waiting way too long to open up the offense.

And he he keeps making it sound like Lonergan came into the season not being a known commodity and acting like the interceptions are because he’s a young, inexperienced QB. No, Lonergan had just 5 INTs last year and our coaching staff is responsible for his performance this season relative to how he played last season. If not, who else owns it?

Rutgers has had these types of losses forever. It’s not like these losses started with Schiano. Now you expect to win every winnable game, which is a joke. Just some years ago under Ash, we were getting smoked by the Iowas and Minnesota’s. It’s only because of Schiano have your expectations increased. Either get over it or get out.
It’s true that he is able to at least be in some games with a chance to win but the difference in resources between Ash and Schiano is VAST so we need to stop talking about Ash. He never had a chance, not only due to his own talent gaps, but based upon what he took over and I’m not just talking about a bad football program like GS took over 2x, but one that had kicked out a lot of starters that could not be replaced during the pre-portal era, had reduced scholarships and a very small budget. There were no 1-2 million dollar coordinators.

Being in close games is better than being blown out, but the issue that much of the fan base has is that he simply cannot win close games against teams that aren’t bad. ‘Not winning every close game’ isn’t the complaint and you know it. It’s losing all of them versus good teams.

Wrong again. It was because we weren’t paying market rate or even close to it. Now we are. Loser Schiano is making nearly $7MM. NIL is mid level or close and school spend on support and operations is top tier. This job will have many high level coaches interested. It will be great when we get a real coach and get rid of the loser Schiano. Will you leave too?
I don’t think he understands just how BAD the Rutgers job was after Flood was fired. It’s completely disingenuous to use that hire as evidence of anything. The job right now is many multiples more attractive.

And the difference in NIL spend between 14 and 10 in the conference isn't some huge amount. He wasted between $20-25 million this year and made the team worse. Greg, his GMs and portal staff are clueless.
I’m wondering how many of the other programs in that range spent over 2 million on one player. On the one hand I believe we had to bring Duff back but on the other hand, I don’t believe with a 20 million dollar budget, we can afford a 2 million dollar player.

If Duff doesn’t play today, that’s almost 10% of our NIL budget on the bench.

I first pointed out that he screwed up the portal, before anyone else, and a lack of resources played into that. Meanwhile, Miami took whomever they wanted, because they had the capital to make it happen. With more capital, we will be able to land better players.
But you wouldn’t acknowledge at the time that beyond any NIL factors that the DC search affected the results. Schiano, himself, just a few weeks ago said it did. Even HE isn’t following the ‘NIL Manifesto’.

That was the excuse for losing to BC and UMass? They weren't "equipped?" Blowing the Illinois game by icing the kicker? What did that have to do with being "equipped?" Sh$tting the bed against UCLA? What did being "equipped" have to do with that loss? Rutgers lost those games because they weren't "equipped" with a coach capable of winning those games.
What he won’t acknowledge is the art of stealing a game. We see it on TV every week and even see teams do it against Rutgers.

Putting a spy on BJ Daniels I believe it was and shutting USF out circa 2009 was a good coaching effort. The 2007 USF game was stealing a game with two trick plays. Of course Leavit wasn’t a very good coach and thus was subject to being out coached. Harder to do in the Big Ten.

Here is where I disagree.

I think Al will merely root for whoever is on the sidelines. It’s honorable. He’s not the one to make the decision and until that decision has been made, he’s deciding to stand up for said individual until the very end. Al is the kind of guy I want supporting me, should I ever be put into the meat grinder, through thick and thin.

This is what Schiano having more NIL money has produced. More losses. To schools like UMass and BC who have far less NIL

He doesn’t know what he’s doing. He gave Elad $550k lol

The facts are this. In true Schiano fashion the more money he gets the more he loses. Hes a terrible football coach and even worse GM

I used to think that. If you look at his pattern of posting lately when challenged with facts or the inconsistency of his previous positions he doesnt stay on point and debate, instead he either makes a subtle derogatory comment or changes to a different point to stir the pot. He talks himself up while denigrating others (i.e. donations to RU Football). He also is using at least 2 multiple screen names and there are valid suspicions that it could be at least 2-3 more. It pretty much smells of a troll at this point.

No one cares that you donated to lacrosse and zero to football. If it were up to me, I would shutdown lacrosse and invest the proceeds in football. No one cares about a sport which only attracts around 1300 fans. You’re only here to attack Schiano because Bob Mulcahy had the common sense to invest all the money in football, which was the right decision, and helped us get into the Big Ten.

I’ve done more for football in the last year than you’ve done in your lifetime, so you can GFY. Schiano doesn’t know who Caliknight is. But he knows who RutgersAl is.

Recruits care about everything. Northwestern just spent a billion dollars on facilities. USC, 300 Million. Oregon is spending another 300 million. We don’t have enough NIL and our facilities stink. So what exactly is the value proposition here?

Value proposition is the empty phrase you love to throw around when you can't really support your statements.

Facilities are a perk now, not a must have.

Players want to go to schools that pay them well and WIN.

Greg is taking Rutgers backwards at this point, he's not considered a quality coach at this point on the recruiting trail.

None of your bluster helps Rutgers win, it just keeps melting the polar ice caps.

Facilities are a proxy for a schools commitment to success, which is why the rest of the Big Ten has spent heavily to upgrade them. I love to throw value proposition around because it succinctly explains why Rutgers has trouble recruiting. NIL is primary but Facilities are important too.

Since you don’t have a historical perspective of Rutgers, you are clueless. Rutgers only started out recruiting Syracuse once we upgraded Hale Center. This resulted in our best class ever with Ray Rice, both McCourty’s, and many other solid players. Kenny Britt and Anthony Davis were recruited in subsequent classes, both First round draft picks. These improvements happened 20 years ago. Now we need a new facility and more NIL support. These will boost our recruiting.

Even from the outside, Marylands facility casts a positive impression. With more NIL, their next coach might turn around their situation in a hurry.

You two obviously can’t get enough of each other. Maybe get a hotel room or ride some horses up to the mountains and work out your differences. That would spare the rest of us of this nonsense.
