When asked about the difficulties his team was having in the first 20 minutes he said they "had to get their independent contractors back to playing team ball" or close to that quote. And I think he meant he has players just playing for themselves.

A sign of the times I guess.

Coaches used to handle that by benching players.

As you said, "a sign of the times".

These players are making too much money to do that.

And they can run off to make even more bank elsewhere if they feel the slightest bit unappreciated where they're at right now.

Oregon is a team in disarray. I’m surprised NU couldn’t beat them.
jNW had a big lead, maybe 20-3 in the first half and then it looked like Oregon was in another gear and muscle mode in the 2nd half. But you are right, Oregon was lost in the first 20 minutes

Is Moore healthy? I mean I know he got his money for this year from Oregon and then decided to Portal (a new verb) but ORegon threatened legal action.

So Moore is done with playing but healthy?
He had a concussion, but is officially "not medically cleared". He is sitting out to avoid further risk to his health now that they aren't making the playoff.

At least in the NFL there are contracts. It will be interesting to see where all of this settles to in 10 years. Unfortunately we have to make it to that point with this wild west of player movement and a neutered NCAA unable to attempt to enforce any rules.
