I first read that as "collective feces" and thought it made sense.
But, yes, this is a precarious position for us. We've cracked the top 25, we're generating all kinds of buzz, "Sellers" and "Heisman" are being used in the same sentence. It would be classic for us to come out against A&M and lay a turd on the field.
But Beamer and crew have kept the team focused coming off of two enormous wins so far (UF and UT). The biggest difficulty with success is that is to maintained. Every week you have to prove that the previous week wasn't a fluke. A&M is certainly coming in motivated, feeling slighted by the -7.5 line for us and will be playing the disrespect card.

South Carolina should forfeit the rest of the season. Zero chance at winning any of the remaining games on the schedule.
I'm not sure I see us losing to Arkansas, but the other 3 teams are certainly capable of beating us.
Next week you will create a thread about doomsday for South Carolina in Fayetteville.
Will largely depend on how this week goes. We've had 3 good games in a row that were preceded by 3 awful games. It's been a good 3 games, but a lot is still up in the air about this team.
I watched us lose inexplicably to a bad UK team after beating #1 Bama in 2010. I watched us lose to a mediocre Auburn team in 2011, a loss which kept us from the SECCG. I watched us lose to a bad UT team in 2013, another loss which kept us from the SECCG.
Preceded by three awful games? The team has played well all year overall.
It was in the details of those losses that showed signs this current run was possible and that was stated before the 3-win run began.
lol, are you joking? We were absolutely horrible against Bama. Against MSU and UK, we blew a combined 33-0 lead. That's awful.
If you blow a 17-0 lead, that's awful. If you blow a 16-0 lead, that's awful.
I don't see how you can rate the Bama game as anything but an awful travesty. It was over before it started.
Nope. Awful is getting drubbed for an entire game which is a very common occurence in Gamecock history.
Regardless of how this season plays out, look at the level of excitement for the program right now.
Most of the knucklehead BOTs on this site that were crying out for the $50mil flip are now talking about us running the table.
This staff has provided alot of excitement to the program overall through the years.
