Coach Cunningham Steps down which to me is big blow because He had the program in a good direction imo BUT

This will be their 6th coach since Sam Griener left. Crazy to think Harding won a state title but are back to being 2-8.

This is a tough job but I think with the right coach n support - It can be turned around and also Harding is supposed to get NEW upgraded facilities so I’m sure this could help them as well.

Harding, Berry, WM, EM, Garinger, RR are all in tough spots. There just arent enough quality football players to go around and then they are grouped in areas with a city power IE WC, MC, INDY, Butler. You will have to be intentional in getting players in or you have to get a big name experienced coach. Then the toll of working trying to build is tough tough. What Coach Griener did at Harding 17 is nothing short of a miracle.

Greiner showed you can win there, but the state championship run was something special indeed. Hopefully one day they make a movie out of that story.

Anyways, Bigdadd is right. There are athletes in the school and you can get good players from their neighborhood zone. It's just a matter of finding the right person to take on the challenge. Finances will always be a challenge with an inner city school.

Stadium Facilities will be MUCH better once the construction work is done from the CMS Bond in a couple of years. New population growth in the area also, it's a better job than it was. New administration also appears to support athletics. Weight room is in a good place also after the donations from different people.

Green Hope is actually on the up, 8-2 currently. Think they were 0-10 two years ago, but seems that coach has it figured out in year 3. Man, I remember when Southern Guilford used to be good back in the 2010's, but as Grimsley has had so much success under Brown I know he was a huge part of the success at Southern

The Green Level job is open. They've had 7 varsity football seasons since the school opened. They've either gone 2-8 or 1-9 every year (except the shortened spring COVID season). Great school, but I doubt whoever takes it will win there.

There are a ton of factors, but it is very interesting to me how schools that have opened within a few years of each other, or even the same year, can go in vastly different directions so quickly. Green Level vs Apex Friendship, Cleveland vs. Corinth Holders, etc.

Corinth holders problem is their Athletic Director. Get rid of him and you might have a shot.
