I see that the name of the victim is identified in the 8th paragraph of the attached article.

Very sad occurrence. An innocent young woman apparently loses her life because she doesn’t want to talk with a young gun toting athlete on a college campus? Incredibly sad for her family and friends. So many trigger happy people these days. I know I think twice before showing any anger when some idiot tailgates or passes and honks in anger. There’s a time when I’d give the finger or something but not now. Last year on the turnpike not far from my house a woman returning home from work was shot and killed while driving. They caught the guy and he said he got mad because he thought she cut him off.

Yeah, it starts hitting home when you think you live in a nice safe community and then you start having gang action and retaliations maybe ten minutes away.

At stop lights these days and nights I just look straight ahead, never left or right.

🤔
Why shouldn’t he be allowed to play. Most times* people are innocent until proven guilty. So far as I heard on various sports talk shows today, Miller is not being sought as a suspect, isn’t being charged with any crime(s), and is being fully cooperative with the investigation. ON what grounds should he be punished (semi-rhetorical question)?

* the obvious exception being JoePa, CSS and our BOT, FactFreeh and Herr Emmett, but i digress

So clear this up for me…. Would the person be alive if he did not bring Darius Miles the gun? Part 2…so how is he not involved in the shooting?

Because playing basketball and representing a university is not a court of law. The concept of guilty until innocent only applies to court. I would hope Penn State would not turn a blind eye to a criminal later delivering a murder weapon.

Sit the kid for one game and you’d have this story behind you. Say it’s out of respect for the victim, not a punishment.

I have no reason to think that Alabama MBB is a rouge program, but siting the kid is saying that they are NOT a rogue program. “We can do better.”

And, yeah, this poor young woman, her life stolen from her for no f’n reason.

So, Miller is texted by Miles to bring his ‘joint’ (gun) and Miller does. It’s then used to kill someone. Sit him a game??????

Miller’s entire two pronged defense is a) he didn’t know what the gun would be used for and/or b) he didn’t know that the gun was in the car.

jurassic park deal with it GIF
