A true champion of the Arts and Sciences and a tough act to follow. That 900k + they paid for the 1 year consulting gig was a real bargain. I'm sure that Barry would agree.
The whole board was fed up with him but lacked the courage to fire him, so they gave him that money as a payoff to go away

He retired, and then they paid him for a full year to consult. As others have wondered, in light of the budget mess she inherited - how did those consulting meetings go with the new Pres?

I'm sure part of the LRP meeting will be discussing the plans for ARL. IMHO, the future success of PSU is inextricably tied to our STEM and AG programs. ARL is a huge piece of this. Everything else falls into the "nice to have, but not necessary" category.

You are too young to be curmudgeonly. But, you have come to the right place to be mentored to be.
Not sure what being a curmudgeon has to do with being correct. Penn State used to be affordable for most hard working blue collar Pennsylvanians to send there children. Not anymore.
