I suggested it. Because all programs try to decipher signals/playcalls - most HCs admit this. Fans at home can do this too - they show the sideline constantly; you see the signs held up and the back up QBs sending in signals - then, you see the play they called. It's not difficult to assign one staffer to watch taped games and try to figure these things out. Now, sending a scout to do this live? That's the violation and what Michigan is guilty of. How much of an advantage is it? Probably not much IMO. Given how much film coaches and players watch, they know what is coming most of the time from a given formation based on the tape.
Take Penn State last year - they knew Michigan was going to run just about every down, which they did, and still couldn't stop them.
Let me politely disagree. Having played and coached....there is a reason you break down practice, for example: half line drills. Take the right or left side of you oline vs the D......shell pass only scrimmage.....goal line run D.....I was at a spring practice in 96 or 97 and at the end Joe said goal line drill. He put the ball on the 3 and told the D....we aren't passing and we aren't running outside. I still hear the collisions.I suggested it. Any team that knows what is coming via run or pass has an advantage....that isn't even up for debate. This myth you can decipher the playcalling based on the TV coverage is crazy. You may see the signals 20% of the time....I just cannot believe people think that what occurred here. It's a clear and distinct advantage....and it makes you want UM has seen that they are trying to jump out in front of this. Moore deleting the text because he was just so mad is the funniest crap I have read in a long time. Liars are going to lie and cheaters are going to cheat. It's ok to call them out on it still.Let me politely disagree. Having played and coached....there is a reason you break down practice, for example: half line drills. Just knowing pass or run, left or right is an incredible advantage for a defensive team. Can you imagine if a QB knows what blitz package is coming or without looking the precise coverage a D is in? I can assure you a good OL becomes unstoppable when they know precisely where the front 7 will stunt, slant or twist.
I wonder if Gattis blew the whistle?
Somebody took it out!…..IT..OUT!!It’s um. Somebody blew something.
It’s um. Somebody blew something.

Once a gold standard, Michigan football's response to NCAA violations shows it's just a common cheat
The once proud Michigan football program is now your average NCAA cheat. And its excuses for breaking rules are laughable.www.usatoday.com
Yeah, "Fab Five", sexual assault by player whom team stood behind, ""gun in the glove compartment", Bo covering for doctor sexually assaulting players, etc...“How embarrassing for hoity-toity Michigan, once the gold standard for all that was pure and holy in college athletics.“
Gold standard? Let’s not pretend that um just suddenly became sh|t.

Yes, no advantage to Michigan. They did it purely for exercise.STEALING SIGNALS IS NOT AGAINST THE RULES. MEETING WITH OTHER TEAMS TO SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT SIGNALS IS ALSO NOT AGAINST THE RULES. The only violation is going to games in person to try to steal signals and that is only a rule because of financial reasons.
