Not sure if this will fly here, but this is not intended to be political. It’s newsworthy and PA.

😞
Suprised someone with those intentions was able to get close enough to set a fire that caused significant damage.

Hell the perpetrator got into the mansion to set the fire. Was the Governor really that vulnerable? If he and his family were sleeping was there anything preventing the individual from sneaking into his bedroom? This is insane.
Different time (early '80's) but remember when an intruder made it into Queen Elizabeth's bedroom while she was sleeping?

Glad they caught the perp. Tired of these demented people on both sides using violence to kill, hurt, or intimidate people and their families.

Well, the State Police knew someone penetrated the property and were actively searching for him when he alluded them, then used his incendiary devices to start the fire.

As others have alluded to, this was a massive failure by PSP. The Governor's Mansion property is not that big; it is not like the White House. There is no way someone should be able to scale that fence and then elude the police and get inside the residence. Were the officers asleep? Socializing? I would hope there is an investigation into the security lapse. Much like the incident in Butler, it is shocking that these specific individuals can get past our trained professionals.

If only they didn’t take one of their helicopters and fly it low over the flames to extinguish them.

Good luck finding responsibility at PSP. Still waiting on the investigation and blame for 2018 OSU incident.

There was internal administrative PSP discipline. It went beyond, "Don't do that again".

Proof, or it didn’t happen. Criminal charges should’ve been filed. “Internal discipline?” Should’ve been grounded permanently, and whoever ordered it should’ve been fired. It wasn’t a “bad day” or “bad decision.” It was colossally stupid on an epic scale. Where’s the FAA report?

If a private pilot did that, there would’ve been hell to pay. As tough of a job LE is, when there are colossal cluster effs, there have to be public consequences, not wrist slaps.
