WTF is this tripe?

Pope has lost this team simply based on his communication style and lacking player relatability.

You see it in the players body language, huddle actions and overall effort.

Sometimes getting pissed, getting in players faces, holding them accountable and showing overt emotions positively impacts players behavior.

Players reflect their coaches style and mood. It is no different than employees emulating the CEO/ Presidents style and professional orientation.

You saw this when he got pissed in this game. The UK players saw Popes emotion and the players energy and effort immediately improved (although play didn’t).

Pope would be better coach in NBA, where players run the show, coaches take back seat and players can be more mature (this can be argued players don’t).

Pope must go…..

Pope wouldn't be a good coach anywhere. He sucks at actual coaching, is not "smart" at basketball (and really doesn't look like he's smart in other things despite most of you acting like he's some savant), and no player respects him.

Phil Jackson might have been Zen, but he was actually good at coaching too and commanded respect.
