Im a huge horror fan especially the Halloween franchise. Last night I watched the movie after work. Without giving any spoilers away I thought the movie was BAD very BAD. That said I’d like to do a little poll of the BBN.

Agreed. The kills were solid, and I actually liked the ending. But the storyline was garbage, with almost zero in common with the previous two.

No, it was absolutely dog ****. Why introduce Corey in the last movie of the saga. He did nothing for the film and his demise literally solidified that he meant nothing. The entire film should’ve been letting Michael cook man! You’re telling me the city chased a random guy who they thought was Michael and killed him and then Michael killed Lorie Strodes daughter and then just said whatever? Lol The film should’ve picked up immediately after the last film. Tons of things wrong with that movie. Awful

So I shouldn’t waste my time that’s what I’m gathering, correct?

It’s a good movie just not a good Halloween Franchise movie in my opinion. No one in my family liked it but maybe you or yours will. I would watch it on peacock and save my ticket money if I were you.

I feel like I need to give Halloween franchise another try. But I could never really get into in the past. I always liked the campy F13ths and NMoESs more. But I do absolutely love Carpenter’s music in those.
I thought the Hatchet series was a fun reboot of the style with practical effects instead of so much CGI.

That makes sense. It's good for a solid horror movie to stream but not a good Halloween franchise film. Clearly the weakest of the new trilogy IMO.

10000% weakest of the trilogy. We could all come up with a better storyline than what I just watched. Im shocked this is what was agreed upon to go forward with. Not the worst thing I’ve ever seen, but just so stupid.

I mean it’s not THAT hard. We have already accepted that the dude won’t die. Just give us some cool deaths and have his presumably dead body ā€œshockinglyā€ disappear in the end. Boom. Blockbuster.

The end of the first movie of the trilogy should have been the ending to this one. They really screwed up this trilogy with this storyline and ending

It was ok, but it took some odd and bold choices. Just didn’t seem connected to the last two at all. Time for a hard reboot in Haddonfield.
