That should have been one of about three titles under Cal.
A team full of dogs .Marquis Teague said the only player they were worried about in that tournament was Royce White .
Also said when they got in the lockerroom after the Vandy loss Cal wasn’t mad and said at least we got that loss out of the way .

Was my senior year in HS. I remember watching the Baylor game drunk in a hot tub lol
I’m more depressed thinking that was 13 years ago. Time flies man.
I was 46 then.
I would have bet major money we would be ahead of UCLA by the time I was 60.
When Cal said now that we have got that out of the way, he meant it.
Every time I see highlights of that season I get depressed because the shorts are so long and baggy it immediately makes me realize it wasn't just a few years ago like it seems.
We had to beat some pretty good teams that year too;
16 WKU
8 Iowa St.
4 IU
3 Baylor
4 UofL (who knocked out 1 MichSt by 13 that year)
and then 2 Kansas (who throttled 1 UNC by 13)
Quite a few upsets in that tournament didn't hurt either (that was the Year of Lehigh knocking K out of our bracket)
I have a picture of the Davis block against UofL in the mancave.
That was a Sunday early afternoon game lol. But I get it totally. I grew up with my own hot tub that was infamous at school for the debauchery that went on in and around it. Water is not the ideal place but a sun tan bed will suffice.
The way we mauled Baylor after their early 10-5 lead was insane. But I think the most impressive explosion that team had was against Iowa State after they tied it at 46 or got really close. Darius Miller went off so bad I remember visiting the Iowa State board the next day and multiple posters just kept saying things like "Oh look, Kentucky still hasn't missed" or "Kentucky just scored again." It was like they were shell shocked.
