He is finishing HS early and rumor has it he may start second semester for the pokes
Flo just said he's definitely moving to Stillwater, but may be just to finish high school. I ahve mixed feelings about him starting college second semester. The faster he gets started, the faster he graduates, but I also don't want another person added to challenge Drake in his final year.

He's dug himself a bit of a hole, but he's going to have plenty chances to get revenge before Nattys.

I got a lot of love for Drake but I don't see him making the finals in the weight class this year. I really hope he proves me wrong.
One thing about Drake I dont think he gets enough credit for is that he is a grinder, he is a tournament guy, Drake thrives as the water gets deeper. This weight class is an absolute juggernaut but all of these guys have to get to the deep water and that's not easy.

Drake had tremendous opportunities to win a title the last two years, especially two years ago, he’s gona need everything he can muster up this year and then some. This year will be a different challenge than prior years.

I hate saying this, Drake might have a better chance of not AA’ing than he does winning a title. Someone save this and prove me wrong in March please.

It's saved.

I sent it to Drake so he can post it on his Fridge

Drake did win it last year when he had byrd on his back and pinned him but the refs were too f’n worthless to slap the mat. Still pisses me off. At the very least it was neutral danger

Drake has always been a slow starter. This year was the first year he won the the 1st dual of the year in Carver. He lost to Mckee, Kaylor and Knox in home openers. Not worried at all about Drake.
I'm not really worried about Drake because of these early losses per se, moreso because his go-to moves seem well scouted and not effective against better wrestlers, and he hasn't seemed to have alot else in his bag.

That's my take - if I were Jax I would wait til next year and let 133 clear out a little.
Highly doubt he's a 133 next year . The cut to 61kg hasn't been easy and he's said so himself. And currently Bo is a 141 next year . 141 next year Echemendia, Bo, Jax and Blaze/Ono

Yeah the thing that is more concerning to me is that his offense hasnt really evolved much, he doesnt have much of a top game either.

He will have a couple nice wins between now and ncaa's but also a couple of more losses. But he has shown he knows how to win in March.

People (including myself) have been saying this for a few years now, but he finds ways to win! Drake will be in the finals again this year; I have faith he can get it done.

I think that's why Byrd has his number right now. Byrd wrestles with that deep waist bend keeping his legs way back, eliminating Drake's leg attacks and then Byrd sits on that slide by. Drake ran himself into a TD in the match against Byrd because Byrd was sitting on the shuck by.

I agree with what you are saying but the whole offseason we have heard how much better he has gotten since March. I'm not seeing it and unless he has an injury NO ONE is talking about, he has taken a step backwards.

I was hoping he would would get a lot stronger and add ripped muscle, but doesn’t look like it.

Aren’t you the same poster that said Endene was going to struggle and you didn’t have much expectations for him? Like Corby, im not that worried about Drake. He’s proven the last 2 years he knows how to win and peak at the right time

They got another raney at 149. vega could go to 157 he is huge, robideau 165, locket 174. That lineup is crazy
And Facundo has 2 more years. He has used a RS and an Olympic RS and last year he got a medical. This is technically year 2. He could Olympic again in 2028 and finish in 2029. I highly doubt he will . He could spend 8 years in a college room 😂

maybe jax goes 49 he has plenty of room to grow
Will be interesting how they fit all that light and middle weight talent in over the next 2 years. People talking about Vega moving up a few weights. They can’t all follow each other up. Also have #4 pfp lightweight in 27 class committed. We could simplify it by taking Raneys off their hands.

Lockett doesn’t have much definition, prob not cutting much. Maybe Robideau could do a Haines or Kemmer like 2weight jump in one year. Worked well for them. Not sure if Robideau is cutting as much as they were?
