16-18 Free Throws

It's entirely possible we might not have anything left to complain about the rest of the year !

Joking aside, that's a stat I am loving, we're shooting free throws very well lately. Nothing but trouble for every other team in the country if we keep that kind of stat line going from the line. So, BIG KUDOS for a GREAT all-around game ESPECIALLY at the line.

Damn fine effort !

after we won the Championship in '12, a caller called in to the post game show unhappy with Cal's coaching decisions in that game.
the folk in this fanbase that want to complain will ALWAYS find something to complain about.

Like the way WCS and DJ have worked on that aspect. Was at the AM game and DJ
would run to the line to shoot his. I think both guys have gained some confidence at the line.
Hard work paying off.

decent....decent....we shot 47% from three today. since the unc game we have shot: 47%, 46%, 43%, 55%, 32%, 44%, and 47%

mid to high 30s is good, anything over 40 is great!

It's been argued on this board recently about free throws being less important than other things, and some say Cal doesn't stress this enough. I can recall Cal saying basically that free throws are something players can practice on their own, leaving regular practice time for other things. I think this team has bought in to this as it is obvious they have concentrated on getting much better at the line. Bet Cal is beaming about this too, as this team really seems to be very coachable, and have put in the extra time on things that help them get better.

Hitting threes like we have recently, hit free throws like this, and the suffocating defense? Nobody is beating this team.
