it was indeed. That's one of those moments in life where you don't forget where you were. I was at a hoops alone drinking a pitcher of amber bach taking in the misery of being a UK fan at the time, but that night was awesome.A night I will never forget. Having that moment in that season — it was like a diamond landing in your pocket in the middle of a dung storm
Hard to disagree with any of that.it was indeed. That's one of those moments in life where you don't forget where you were. I was at a hoops alone drinking a pitcher of amber bach taking in the misery of being a UK fan at the time, but that night was awesome.
I said it before, this season has been the worst ever for me IMO, hopefully it gets turned around and we make the dance... I think if we play Mo less and Kam at the 4 a whole lot more, along with JJ running point well we can salvage somewhat. Otherwise this season has been Worse than Gillespie era for me because we had Meeks and it was entertaining as hell... The covid year was just blah what it was, canceled games and stupid crap.
This is why that game was so special to me. Watched it with a terminally ill family member. He celebrated every shot. He almost forgot he was sick for one night. All while wearing capris. Watched it with some friends and every shot was a celebration.

At my mom’s house. For some reason that I can’t remember I had a flat screen tv set up in her kitchen and watched it there. Back then both parents still alive, now neither. Was a really rough year basketball wise but I’d go back to it and relive it in a heartbeat.Where were you in that storm, sounds like a s.hitty deal![]()
L.O.L.God I miss the excitement we had during the BIlly G era.
Watching Meeks that season was highly addicting... just wondering how many points he'd put up.
That was a legendary game just wish it was at Rupp that orange is hard on the eyes.
It's hard for me to think about Meeks and not think about the following year.before that teams hit the skids halfway through conference play, Meeks was on pace to exceed 1,000 points in a season. Ended up with 854 which is 2nd only to Dan Issel.
