Guys I just thoroughly looked over our 2 deep roster and couldn't wipe the smile off my face. We return a lot more production than most think. I mean WOW! All our quarterbacks return along with strong incoming talent. All our backs return with good talent behind them. We lose 2 receivers who actually get p.t. but only 1 gets significant minutes. Also great incoming talent. Our o-line loses 2 starters in Haycraft, and T.J Mcoy. Becton probably goes as well but we have nice incoming talent with a lot better overall numbers. We actually have the #1 juco tackle coming in.
D-line we lose 2 seniors and have good incoming and red shirt help. Linebacker we lose 2 but will be better than fine. Again the #1 juco outside linebacker is coming. Secondary we lose 3. For a group that has struggled this year so far we really need to shore our secondary up. Nice incoming and red shirt talent but this group as a whole needs to be coached up mightily. We do lose our 2 starting kickers but we have #5 overall kicker coming in so hopefully we will o.k.
With what we are witnessing coach Satterfield do this season odds are really great that next year everyone might want to start taking us very seriously. With the annual inconsistency of the ACC we could make a he'll of a lot of noise man.
After Clemson Fla.St will be working in a new coach. If not , even better . I don't see anyone else to be concerned about. We could be a comfortable 2nd place . After that we just need a little more time but its coming. I know you guys can feel it. For the first time in my life it is a real possibility to own the ncaa landscape like we came so close to doing in '13'. The true Year of the Cardinal is close.

Losing both O tackles is MAJOR. I know they are trying to build depth there, but cant speak to how important that truly is. Wonder if there is ANY way Becton comes back??

I swear right after I posted this thread I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully he sees the benefit of 1 more year with Ledford. That guy is special. A freaking guru. Even if he doesn't come back our numbers give us a way better chance to put together a good unit. We bring back 5 or 6 we have 4 or 5 redshirting and we have a nice incoming class that includes some experienced guys . I think we have 2 or 3 juco o- linemen coming. Man if we could just get Dumerville to come wed be set.

Some of the freshmen coming in next year has nice size to them as well. They are all in the 6'4-6'5 range in height and 280-295 in weight. Need to get those guys in the weight room and add strength. We may need a few to play next year.

I cringe when I see true freshman starting on the O or Dlines. Those are the most demanding positions on the field, I just don't think that a freshman's body is ready for it.

I don't either, but the freshmen we signed this year are severely undersized. Most are around 6'2 270, which is not very big at the college level. I guess we will see if any play the last four games. Hopefully we can get a few to enroll in January so they can start the weight/conditioning program and get a jump on next season.

Word is Williamson is a beat and Reid is the #1 JUCO Tackle. Lefdord will get them ready. UVA defensive game plan was to over protect Becton's side and we were ready for it. Becton is a beast. He knocked one Clemson DE into Kingdom come that's one 5 star who'll never forget being blown up!

That's good to hear about Williamson. I imagine we see him in action these last four games.

That’s big enough, especially if they are athletic. But you’re right, it would be nice to stockpile these guys and let them get to the 300 Lb range

Those guys coming in next year are 6'4-6'5 in the 285 pound range. The 2019 kids are kind of small, maybe that's why we haven't seen them play this year.
