really hurt us. UK is much better but needs to play relatively mistake free to beat teams like Ga. The Johnson fumble was a hard hit.

The Badet fumble was a huge momentum shift in the game. That was a TD that wasn't dropped. It was handed to Ga as an interception. Offense struggled next 3 series after that play.

I personally don't think Badet would have scored but it went from a 50-60 yard gain to a turnover.
Big time players just don't do ish like that.
Its UK football in a microcosim.

I agree about TD. It was, however, a big turning point in the game.

The deep pass would've softened up that D a little bit and given Johnson more confidence.

We're heading in right direction, but tonight was a potential win that would've made us the talk of college fball for the week.

Can you blame the guys though? We don't ***** when the RB's only get a yard or no gain. They don't have QB right now who throws to them or consistently gets a good ball to them. Badet made a mistake that resulted in 0 points for Georgia. It isn't their fault we lost. We played to stay close, not to win.

Don't forget about the holding call on the FG that took 3 points off of the board. Huge play in the outcome of the game.

1. Was Badet's play
2. Was Juice's fumble...I hate when WR try to fight for extra yards in middle of field...jsut go down
3. Baker had his usual 1 drop a game (why Tavin Richardson doesn't play over him is silly)
4. Juice short armed a tough catch but one he could have made early in game on 3rd down

In the entire game... the WR core literally made no plays that were even difficult. They as a group didn't show up...plain and simple

I simply disagree. The one time we actually had a good drive was due to Baker making a huge 3rd down conversion. We amplify the freak play by Badet (what DB has it land on his thigh and makes a pick from it?) because it was a loss. No points resulted from that pick. Our defense forced a fumble. If they scored a TD, which we did on a muffed punt but goes unnoticed, then I think you would have a point. Simply put, we were one dimensional for no reason.

Johnson and the WR's were put in a tough spot due to inactivity caused by a somewhat successful wildcat.

If you don't think the two fumbles by WR's and some key drops figured in Gran's mind on that last drive, then you don't know fball!

Baker made solid grab for 20+ yards...but nothing spectacular. He found a hole in a zone and made a catch that was right on him.

What else did our WR core do tonight that was decent?

To downplay a huge play that was a TD and turned into an Int and act like it wasn't a big deal is sort of silly. Catch that ball and UK is up 28-16 and UGA is on the ropes and UK can't try to pound away and kill the clock.

The Badet play and Juice fumble.

Killed us... but that dam fade route on 3rd and goal was a poor call.

You know Gran was going to call the safest pass play possible. Johnson has had too many mistakes in that area.

Throw it high for a jump ball and leave yourself with a FG try as worst case scenario. Play call didn't bother me.

I may not know football but I know that it didn't end the game. I know that running the wildcat until it was 3rd and 9 (goal) cost us 7. I know that playing our DB's 8 yards out when a FG would win the game cost us a defensive stop. I know that playing to keep it close can cost you the win. We didn't win for a myriad of reasons, but to say that two plays cost us this game is silly. Did the two fumbles by Chubbs cost them a blowout, who knows?

Don't think I said they cost us the game. I said they figured into Gran's play calling. WR's probably had their worst game of the season.

Playing for the tie at home with 90secs to go was fine with me. I would've lime our chances in OT.

Defense couldn't hold up at the end. I didn't have a pblem with the last FG.

What play call would you have preferrred on 3rd down. Your QB has both thrown interceptions and fumbled in this position in previous games.

I'll take the safe fade to the corner with no chance of interception every time. That leaves me a FG to tie the game and play for OT as my worst case scenario as a play caller. The defense didn't hold up with 90 secs to go.

Loss hurts, but I thought the play call was okay when we had first and goal. We could play the "would've should've game" all night. If the play works everyone is calling them coaching geniuses for it.

The ball was close to being intercepted, Baker was able to prevent that....it was 3rd and goal from the 8. Rather predictable call.

One reason why I'm over Dorian Baker (Richardson has to play over him IMO) is on the fade route...he let's the UGA DB push him to the sideline. Instead he needs to be physical and leave a few yards between him and sideline so he can box out the DB on that jump ball. It's the same thing he did vs. Vandy last year that was an Int. It was a low percentage pass play for sure...and Dorian isn't this massive WR that so many state he is. He is like Matt Elam...hyped up HS recruit and a huge person on the field but isn't a SEC player.

We need to play Richardson...much more competitive kid and hasn't dropped a ball this year.

The two fumbles on the pass plays were definitely killers. They took away chances to score points, they put the defense on the back on the field and contributed to their being gassed in the fourth Qtr. and they killed offensive momentium that had been gained by the third Qtr. touchdown. Make those two catches and Kentucky wins the game.

I don't get why CBs are allowed to "box out" recievers clear out of bounds.
