Did anyone notice….1). The telecast of the finals never said that PSU was National champions. 2) BTN… BigToday show… did not mention PSU being a national champ until 40 minutes of the show had elapsed! Illinois/Creighton women’s hoops got more coverage

The telecast led with PSU being the National Champ before they got into the first match. As for the second point, it's an indication of where Wrestling falls in the pecking order.
Had to use a company vehicle today, and was listening to the local (terrestrial) radio. DJ (don't know her name) was effuisive about the wrestling championships in Philly and congratulated "all the Penn State alumni" on the championship, "And can you believe it is their fourth in a row and 13th overall- that's amazing!"

Cheerleaders only like chemistry nerds when they need someone to mix their cocktails.Didn‘t help me in graduate school.
Not automatically, I had a cheerleader friend (female) at State and I was a chemistry major. We suffered thru Herr Dr. Keune's Mystery Hour three times a week. He was our 400 level German prof, and he used to mumble into his notes. In German. And we had to sit on the back shelves as there was no room in the classroom (required course for grad students). But I'd had the material (post war lit.) before so was able to help everyone figure it out a little--or at least commiserate. Looking back, I might well have been able to get a date, had I had any clue at the time about women (my first GF was when I was a second year grad student), as I got an awfully nice hug when I came back to campus from grad school the first time to visit.
