The 2014 class was the highest ranked class in the history of UK football. But on Signing Day 2015 Freddie Maggard said the 2015 class would turn out to be the better class. I agreed at that time. Let's take a look at the 10 most productive players from those classes and compare. I put them in order of production. Keep in mind 2014 has had an extra year to get on the field.

2015 2014
1.Jordan Jones 1.Boom Williams
2.Derrick Baity 2. Denzil Ware
3.CJ Conrad 3. Garrett Johnson
4.Chris Westry 4. Mike Edwards
5.Josh Allen 5. Dorian Baker
6.Courtney Miggins 6. CJ Johnson
7.George Asafo Adjei 7. AJ Stamps
8.Alvonte Bell 8.Adrian Middleton
9.Tavin Richardson 9.Bunchy Stallings
10.Logan Stenberg 10.Drew Barker

Opinions?

Good conversation. I think you have to put Mike Edwards at number 2 from the 2014 guys. He's easily been our 2nd best player on D behind Jones. And I'd probably put Bunchy at number 3. He is our best Olineman outside of Larry Warford in the last 20 years. Really excited to see all these guys get even better in the next 2 years

The only reason I put Ware at 2 is because he's started for 2 years and Edwards I don't think started until the end of last year. Bunchy is a stud I agree. I may substitute Ryan Flannigan for Drew Barker if Barker doesn't come back because he hasn't done much up to this point and Flannigan was a starter for 2 years.

As for 2015 I still have high hopes for Marcus Walker, Jabari Greenwood and Eli Brown.

The 2015 had a lot of churn to put it politely, with all the de-commits and subsequent hand-wringing by the fan base, myself included. As the OP has shown, the 2015 class actually compares to be as good as the 2014 class.
