They gave us some headaches at times, but for the most part, they were a fun group to watch and played hard most nights. Thank You to the Seniors, DeLaurier, White, and Robinson. I hope the rest of the guys come back for the 2020-2021 season.
Indeed! Im gonna miss this group. Sucks our seniors, and Tre didn’t get one last time to play in the tournament. It sucks Big Vern and probably Cassius won’t ever get to experience the tournament. For the most part, I was very pleased on how the season turned out. We were a top ten team literally all season long until the last couple of weeks and we were one of the top contenders to get to a final four and have a chance to cut down the nets, which is something we all thought wouldn’t happen at the beginning of the season. I think a lot of doubts set in when we had a rough couple weeks, but nevertheless we were a good team throughout the season.

This team was doomed from the start. I’ll admit it, I had “Zion” hangover. No super dynamic guys on the roster like Zion or Rj. But I loved this group as much as any group I have before. I feel for Vern, kid was awesome. But man I really feel for Tre. He’s such a special kid. Deserved better. And JRob. Was becoming such a big part of the team finally.

Fun year. Always is. I’ll NEVER forget that game at Carolina. Never.

I love Duke basketball so much lol so bummed it’s over. Thanks for the memories fellas.

I appreciate everything about this team! JRob and Goldwire coming into their own and surprising everyone. Tre improving every aspect of his game. Big Vern dominating everyone. Cash flying through the air to give us some spectacular plays that made us jump out of our seats. Moore bringing us the greatest UNC dream crushing moment since subzero. Hurt, AOC, and Baker hitting some big shots beyond the arc. White and Javin being team leaders and owning the lane on defense when it mattered and getting some huge rebounds. Buckmire getting his bucket!

It definitely had a different feel than last year's version....but a guy named Zion will do that to you.

I think the good far outweighed the bad. The bad just sometimes sticks out more.

We beat Kansas in the Champions and won on the road in East Lansing. Tre came back and became the ACC POY, supplanting his legacy at Duke. Vernon was the best freshman in the conference and one of the best in the country. While not pretty, the win in Chapel Hill is something we'll replay over and over through the years. On top of that, we had K for one more season....and we know that eventually that's coming to an end.

There's a lot more....those were just the highlights. It's never that bad being a Duke fan.

I think the good far outweighed the bad this season.

Starting with the bad...the Wake loss was horrific, IMO one of Duke's most painful non-tournament losses ever, at least in the end it didnt matter. SFA snapping our non-conference win streak sucked, but that loss propelled us to play good ball for the next few weeks. Also, Duke should never lose by 20, I hate NC State.

The good
-Tre came back and won ACC POY.
-The Cassius dunks will live on forever in Duke glory.
-Vernon being better than advertised and shutting up all of the doubters.
-The injury bug didn't really bite us, at the beginning of the season I think we all would have been cool with the 1 injury being Wendell missing a month.
-Goldwire has improved more than any Duke player since....Zoubek???
-Baker had moments early in the season which hopefully spring board him to be a key rotation guy next year.
-J ROB!!!!
-We beat Kansas finally, and swept UNC.

And I think we still get the best gift of all....Hurt and Moore return.

I enjoyed the heck out of the year. Other than a bad 10 day stretch, it was pretty terrific imo. We swept the Heels, including ripping their hearts out in CH. Yeah, I'm feeling fine with the regular season. Hate it had to end without a postseason, but nothing we could do about that.

I agree with the folks that said the good outweighed the bad. It was a fun season that was cut short, but guys like Cassius helped cure the Zion hangover. His dunks were just unreal. I’ll miss seeing him next year.
