which leaves Texas going forward with RS sophomore Casey Thompson, RS freshman Ja'Quiden Jackson and incoming freshman Charles White.....and no commitment for a QB in the 2022 class.
It's rumored that Ewers is looking at Big Ten schools.
Does Coach Herman need another nail in his coffin ?
Could pretty boy frat rat Mathew McConaughey be in the mix to be at least a spiritual consultant or a poetry guru for this troubled program ? Maybe the team needs to exile itself for 52 days without electricity (as McConaughey did when writing his cringe-worthy book "Greenlights").....or blond coeds.
Hook "em Horns.

I am all verklempt.

Is there anything more fun to watch than a Longhorn meltdown? When they lose Sanders, the worst possible thing might happen, though. We need them to keep VT around for a while.

Horns are experiencing an identity crisis right now, you know the whole tearing down the statues and renaming the field, renouncing "the eyes of texas", etc........When they say they're "weird" they mean it. Big burnt orange turd dumpster fire, imo. Regents don't know how to handle the situation. Heck, I'm embarrassed for em.

Every year they get hyped...shorthorns to CFB Playoff...Ehlinger for Heisman...blah blah blah. Big 12 is nothing but a chopped up shitburger with onions.
No argument here.
All I will add is that I want OU to at least continue its domination of the Big 12 until it leaves, maybe by 2025. However, I'm not sure a diet of shitburgers prepares OU for playing and recruiting against the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, etc.

Ahhhhh.......the million dollar question now is what gits us over the hump? A 2 mil a year d'coordinator? Venables is rakin it in all the while collecting championship trophies. Still shaking my head over letting him go to this day. Imo, we need an emphases and stressed importance on defense obviously. Is Grinch the guy? I give him a year. SEC defenses have our number year after year after year. We recruit the mean monsters on the defensive front, everything else will fall into place. The d front is what's crippling us imo.

This. IDK if it can change. Austin is not a college town and they're getting, ran over by a very different ideology.
Hell, I will not be surprised to here support out of Austin to shut down football. Not UT, but residence, of Austin. The place has turned, weird.

The "different ideology", the blowback from having the offensive and reprehensible "Eyes of Texas" song and Matthew McConaughey's failure to inspire the team has to have Horn fans considering synchronized cow chip throwing to replace football.

It's official: Ewers to Ohio State for the class of 2022.
Texas has recruited two good QB prospects in Card and Jackson, both are 4-star, in the 2020 class.
For 2021, Texas has only Charlie Wright, a 3-star recruit.
I never thought Texas would have difficulty recruiting top quarterbacks after Colt McCoy left in 2009. Since then, OU has run off a 9-3 record.
It was said that Ewers had been a Longhorn fan all his life. He never changed......Texas did. Ouch !

But there may be good news for Texas looming: Mathew McConaughey said he and his mega ego would consider running for governor in Texas.
That would give the state of Texas the "blues".

I spent four months at Fort Hood in the early 70s. We spent a couple of weekends in Austin to decompress. Austin has been a petri dish for left wing weirdness for a long time. They try to mask it in the country boot scooting boogey but it's always been there.

No wonder the Kalifornicators are flocking there. Birds of a feather sleep in same tree.

They weren't aware that the free handouts they kept voting for would eventually sink their society, and the libs don't want to work for their money, so they were the first to feel the pinch and have to jump ship to Texas.

Now, they're too stupid to realize what they did wrong, so they'll just start the cycle anew.
