All three were promoted the year before. Gotta be a drag to get the Premier League and be relegated after one season. Clearly the athleticism and skill of the very best is the difference.

United opens with Arsenal at Old Trafford, Sunday.

I’m telling myself to be more engaged this coming season. It’s not as if Arsenal is another PSU to me, no reason I should get that bent out of shape about all those ******* red cards. Ffs.

One of my issues is that most of you are so much more knowledgeable about soccer than I am. I need to take better advantage of your collective expertise, ask the right questions.

You can be a PL fan for 15 years like me and still can't be sure of all the complexities of off-sides.

Looks as if Son Heung-Min is headed to LAFC.
Sonny hasn’t been the same since Harry Kane left. They were a deadly duo. Sonny appears to have lost a step or two also. It will be interesting to see how this new group of Spurs come together under new gaffer, Thomas Frank. Sad to see Sonny go.

Son was the perfect sidekick, one might say.

Son has last game with Spurs in homeland of S Korea and he is taken off and was emotional on the sideline. His replacement, James Maddison, goes in and a few minutes larrr, he is taken off the pitch on a stretcher with a possible ACL issue and now I am emotional. 😩😞

Same knee he injured at the end of last season. I watched the video and it was a non contact injury just going down the sideline and he pulled up lame and immediately dropped to the pitch in agony. I have no idea what Spurs squad will look like this year. Maybe Son will hang on for another year? 🤷‍♂️

Couple weeks out...some thoughts.

Liverpool had a crazy good off season with their signings. Arsenal finally got a striker and a legit one to boot who will make an impact. City gets back Rodri which will again show how great of a player he is. Those 3 along with Chelsea will probably make up the top 4. If everyone stays healthy I could see it finishing just that way with Liverpool on top followed by Arsenal, City, and Chelsea.

I want to attend Arsenal at Chelsea in Nov, but don’t think I can get my wife onboard since we were just in UK last month.

Amirite in saying that Son’s style is such that he’ll fade quickly as he ages? As compared with Harry Kane, say?
He missed 15-20 games last year with different injuries. Was starting to think that his wheels might be starting to come off.

About me, I’m a EPL fan but not a connoisseur. (Think of the Seinfeld episode where Stupid Elaine is fascinated by a tire rotation display.)

The real reason I brought up Son is because of his best-known goal, the insane 4/5 of the pitch run from two or three years ago. Older guys don’t make plays like this.
