He’s being projected as a lottery pick by basically every site I’ve seen.I think there's a decent chance CMB will be back next year especially in the NIL era. If he really works on his jumper, and consistently can be a threat beyond the arc, he will definitely be a lottery pick the following year. As a 6'7 NBA big, you really need to be able to knock down shots from the outside...imo.
There is some variation out there. He was a lottery pick on virtually every site early in the season. However, our season was so bad that I have seen him drop to the second round on a couple sites. Hoops Hype does a composite mock draft of all the well known sites and the aggregate has him in the Mid First Round. He’s being projected as a lottery pick by basically every site I’ve seen.
He’s not coming back. There is nothing happening that should entice him to come back here at all with the roster we have. There is some variation out there. If he’s a lottery pick, he’ll have no problem seeing her.Yeeaaahhhh...there's definitely something enticing him to come back.
That’s what I’m screamin’.Yeeaaahhhh...there's definitely something enticing him to come back.
I wasn't questioning whether he's coming back or not. Just saying he's not a 1st Round lock. Needs to do well at the combine and in individual workouts. He’s not coming back. There is nothing happening that should entice him to come back here at all with the roster we have.
I mean almost every reputable analyst has him going in the first round. If one or two outliers make him “not a lock” then I don’t know what to tell you. He’d have to play himself out of the first round in the combine at this point.I wasn't questioning whether he's coming back or not. Just saying he's not a 1st Round lock. Just saying. When has a South Carolina Basketball player ever got drafted as expected. They told AJ 2nd Round. Went undrafted. They told PJ 1st Round. Went Undrafted. Sin was SEC Player of the year and he went Mid-Second Round. I know for a fact that NBADraft. Net has CMB going #33. They started him off in the lottery and have been sliding him all year. Of course, there are others that have kept him in the 1st Round., but I have followed the NBA and Gamecock basketball too long to think CMB is a 1st Round lock. He's under-sized and didn't show any improvement in his shooting range. There are not too many NBA Players anymore that can't shoot a 3 Point shot. I am not a guy really angling for CMB to stay, but it wouldn't shock me at all to see him slide to the 2nd Round.I mean almost every reputable analyst has him going in the first round. The transfer guard from USF is a baller. Big upgrade
Morris left a week ago..It would be nice to get a fully healthy Stute back. Morris Ugusuk will be one of the starters. Meechie and Kobe Knox will start. Take your pick between Christ Essandoko and Treysen Eaglestaff for the last starting spot. I just don't see CMB coming back. I would have liked to have Arden Conyers and Cam Scott back.
