Actually a really solid schedule. All Saturday home games (unless they move the opener up to Thursday like they’ve done the last couple of seasons), mostly opponents people have heard of (sans a couple), and a newly energized team, coach, and fanbase.

I wish we would have had last year’s schedule this year as this year is much more difficult. However I think there is a path to a bowl game if we play our cards right.

I'm going to show a little unwarranted optimism here and say we go 6-6 with upsets over ECU and Oregon State to get there.

I’ll be going to New Mexico State, if we lose to them , I might just take a break with road games for awhile and just go on a big hunting and fishing trip instead

Hopefully NMSU has replaced their field grass (rye and mostly sand mixture slowed down opposing teams speed in the 70’s and 80’s) with artificial turf.

I remember that NMSU had a trash-talking head coach back in the early 70's. Even after we kicked their asses routinely.

Going to make a trip of it , rent a van , go to Colorado, fish , white water raft , and maybe take the train from Durango to Silverton , then make the long drive to El Paso ( I’m sure you were interested lol)
All the things I don't do. Long drives. Fishing. Etc...

I favor road trips to the 24 cities where we have nonstop flights:)

Preferably with a nice comfy hotel in an urban setting:)

I am all for a good hotel ! I think I spoiled myself going on all of these trips because I hardly will ever stay at one now that isn’t at least a 4 star lol, I’m very big on staying in a nice and clean place
