This was already mentioned in the ongoing recruiting thread - but just to highlight it again so folks don't miss it.

Tonight at 7pm CT, 2027 Iowa targets Joe Bachmann and Paul Kenny will announce their college commitments at the link below:

Bachmann - out of Pennsylvania powerhouse Faith Christan Academy - is ranked #3 overall in the Class of 2027 by Flo.

Kenny - another New Jersey product - ranks #8 overall.

Both took their official visit to Iowa City 15 days ago during the Iowa/Minnesota football weekend.

If they are both announcing same day, might assume it is to the same school. They visited together, both had a teammate already commit, no? And both have younger brothers. ;)
Kenny's teammate - 2026 prospect Bobby Duffy - yes. Nobody (yet) from Bachmann's school.

As for the coincidence of a simultaneous announcement, here's what I mentioned in the recruiting thread:

I don't believe it's been confirmed that Bachmann/Kenny are committing to the same school.

(Willie's tweet just says they'll be making their decisions 'together' on the show.)

That said, of the schools both wrestlers have officially visited, I believe there are only two in common - both of which they visited together this fall.

The first is Rutgers - where they actually saw the Iowa football team get a win that Friday night in Piscataway. And the second is Iowa, the final OV for both of them just 15 days ago.

Bachmann also took visits to Cornell, Ohio State, Missouri, Iowa State and Lehigh.

Kenny's other visits were to Virginia Tech and Nebraska.

I'd have to agree. Have two high end recruits ever announced together before?? Not that I remember. It would seem an odd way of doing this unless they're going to the same school.

Lee and Teasdale announced Iowa together, but Teasdale de-committed not long after. Forgot he ended up at Iowa for a spell even after PSU and maybe another school in there.

Pin doctors reported y’all got all 3 about 30 minutes ago. If you guys do indeed get them, why would they break the news without letting the athletes announce it on themselves?

He did post it on his Instagram. I’ve never met the guy but apparently he’s a real piece of **** that likes trying to steal the spotlight from high schoolers.

All three may commit to iowa.......but the Pin Doctors guy is a total clown and knows very little about what is actually going on in the sport. Your average 12 yr old wrestler has more wrestling insight and can actually write better.

He’s really not a new source, so I really don’t have a problem with him reporting this. And I’m also not sure. I have much of a problem with a legit news source reporting it. If you don’t want people to know where you’re going to commit, just keep it to yourself. Seems pretty simple. Debatable, I guess.

That said, Pin Doc is is one very strange dude. If he invested 25% of the time he spends on high school wrestling to getting an adult job he would be a millionaire and not need his mom to pay for his gas.

Damn, dawg. Had the balls to say it rather than everyone thinking it.
