Somebody would really have to detail for me how, for instance, Iowa is worth less than NU. Does TV market have something to do with this?

How about Michigan basketball worth only $2M more than NU? No way!! Think about merchandising alone.

The only other way I could see these numbers as legit is if NU really has absolutely no costs compared to other schools.

Great as that sounds, NU is tenth in the B1G so, yes, B1G revenue must have a lot to do with it. It is not a bad sound bite for recruiting IMO.
I'm surprised at how low Iowa was relative to NU. That must be location.

Excuse me ... one more ... $200,000 less than UCLA?!?! No way!!

UCLA is going to have to be on the absolute bottom of the Pac-12 for 10-15 years before it's value is comparable to NU.

Considering there's no data source listed or much of a description of the methodology, it's almost impossible to know what to make of these figures.

That said, it's not too surprising to see NU so high. We're a power conference team in a big market. It's like the woebegone Clippers selling for $2B. NU just hasn't been able to totally capitalize on the potential.

We shot up 250 spots when we canned Bill Carmody and hired Chris Collins.

They are probably rating this like a stock. Future growth and value baked into the share price. Kinda like why is Tesla or Uber worth the valuations they command?

Well we are saving a lot of postseason travel expense since he got here.
