Well.. with almost 90 million people not participating in the labor force... I would say it did well in its target demographic...

I remember that 10 years ago & even less, every time the USMNT would play a WC qualifier or CONCACAF tourney qualifier anywhere in this country, the opposition's crowd would outnumber US fans 4 or 5 to 1. We were booed & harassed unmercifully by the, mostly Mexican, crowd. It was pathetic & disgraceful. How times have changed(for the better). USA, USA, USA !!!

From what I've read USA sold more tickets to this WC than any other country less Brazil 160,000+.
