'25 March Madness Pick'Em Final Results

Are posted in the pinned post atop the board. As in past years, after the final game Yahoo! changes the results so that all ties are broken. I know that the final score of the Championship game is used as a tiebreaker, but I have no idea how that is applied when contestants do not pick the correct teams in the final. I had Maryland and Tennessee in the final. How did I finish 34/79? On a hunch, I tried to figure this out by using imaginary numbers but got no satisfaction.
