Saints drafted this dude over Sanders?
![]()
Steve Wisniewski announced the choice for the Raiders, another player I've never heard of before.Unless the Raiders pick him, Sanders will fall into the third round. He must have been a terrible interview.

My only caveat to suggesting NFL Network over ESPN is I can’t stand Kyle Brandt. When he comes on, I change it.I would have preferred to continue with last night's thread but subject lines matter. New Orleans picked the quarterback from Louisville, Sanders is still waiting.
Nope. Fannin of Bowling Green.Cleveland will pick Sanders, third pick of the third round.
Cleveland will pick Sanders, third pick of the third round.
How did Fannin drop to the third round?Nope. Fannin of Bowling Green.
I was shocked at the number of TEs that went ahead of him. He’s a bit of a tweener, but think he thrives in the right system. How did Fannin drop to the third round?
I’d think there is a part of “we have our starting QB, and you don’t seem to be ok accepting a role holding a clipboard and waiting your turn”.It has to be some combination of he’s just a crap human being, no one wants the circus that he or his dad bring, or the nfl has again shifted and if you aren’t graded a QB 1, see you in the bottom rounds. Basically I’m not paying you big money to flop; if you have a strong chance to flop, you can flop for cheap.
Then what about the Steelers?I’d think there is a part of “we have our starting QB, and you don’t seem to be ok accepting a role holding a clipboard and waiting your turn”.
You mean like all his other interviews?Sanders must have come off as a complete d bag in team interviews.
If it ever happens, Rodgers certainly isn’t coming to sit. Then what about the Steelers?
You mean like all his other interviews?
And this gem:No combine, no Senior Bowl. Wanted to be drafted on his name alone. That said, he’s better than the guy the Saints took. My guess is they didn’t want Coach Dad Deion all up in their sh*t.
“Okay.”And this gem:
“If you ain’t trying to change the franchise or the culture, don’t get me,”
I think it's more likely that nobody thinks he's very good. If anybody thought he could help them win, they would take him. This looks like a bit of a Collin Kapernick situation more so than a bad interview answer. I think the league is sending the young man and his dad a message. What that is actually based on though, I’m not sure.
I’m sure father will be making some type of an announcement setting the situation right and letting all the GMs know how wrong they were.No combine, no Senior Bowl. Wanted to be drafted on his name alone. That said, he’s better than the guy the Saints took. My guess is they didn’t want Coach Dad Deion all up in their sh*t.
I’d be ok with taking him now also. As you said, lower cost, less risk if he flops. Plus, maybe he uses this as motivation and focuses on the game more than his image. Also, seeing other places that they like McCord from Syracuse and could be targeting him in the later rounds.Steelers can take him in 4th round. That is a scenario I can get behind. Very cheap in the 4th round. How many starters come out of the 4th round that didn’t drop thwre besides the clown show that their family brings. Can Tomlin and the Steelers control Deion?
It’s a message to colleges as well. This looks like a bit of a Collin Kapernick situation more so than a bad interview answer. I think the league is sending the young man and his dad a message. What that is actually based on though, I’m not sure.
He's walking around with a huge chain around his neck that says Legendary. CU just retired his number. His attitude is like he should be inducted into Canton right now. You aren't legendary. If you have that kind of attitude you are legendary from day one you better be exactly that and he isn't. If he works hard Sanders has the potential to be a good QB but he won't have his father there to hold his hand and run interference every step of the way. People in the NFL work hard and they don't have time to be babysitters. It has to be some combination of he’s just a crap human being, no one wants the circus that he or his dad bring, or the nfl has again shifted and if you aren’t graded a QB 1, see you in the bottom rounds. Basically I’m not paying you big money to flop; if you have a strong chance to flop, you can flop for cheap.
