The post-season is officially under way. One upset already in District 1, 14 seed Owen J Roberts over 3rd seed Downingtown West 10-7. Top seed Pennridge survived 22-21 over 16 seed Plymouth-Whitemarsh.

The big game this week will be the Holy War part II. LaSalle tries to defeat St Joe Prep for a second time and Villanova will be the setting tomorrow at 1pm.

collision course in District 11 in two weeks? Both Parkland and Easton are undefeated and both won tonight.

Two more D1 playoff upsets.

In 5A, #12 seed, Unionville, over #5 seed Wissahickon, 27-14.

In 6A, #11 seed, Neshaminy, over #6 seed, CB West, 28-21. @LionJim likely approves of this.

There will be no 4-Peat in 6A this year as LaSalle beats Prep 24-14 for the second time this season. This also snaps Prep's 9 year streak of appearing in the state championship game.

@Relayer -- just a note: I changed the Subject line to make this a thread about the 2025 Districts in football. I think it best to have a separate District playoff thread and a State playoff thread.

As for LaSalle - SJP, good for LaSalle.

There is no way in hell that any private school should be allowed to compete in the PIAA brackets with public schools. Put them all in their own bracket and let them recruit against each other.
Most, not all, private schools play up in higher classifications than their enrollment would normally require, to account for having students from a larger geographical area.

So what? “Larger geographical area” = recruiting area. Plus most private schools have kids older than the public’s because they reclass their kids freshman year. Put them all in the same bracket. PIAA has no backbone.
