Set for October 11th in Coralville. First matchup announced is Bo Bassett vs. Jordyn Raney. Always a great event and this one will most certainly be a great match.
That will be a fun match! 2 guys who never go backwards. It could have recruiting implications as well

If Bo and Miller go to OSU then we might have a bit of a horse race in 3 years. At least enough to make things interesting. If we land them both I think the luster wears off the cowboy hype train a good amount. I don't know that Bo even has a home in DTs roster, whereas he would fit in nicely at 149 here. Am I wrong to want MM more?

Where does Miller fit in the lineup here? In all likelihood James will be a 174 and Henckel at 184. Bo and Keegan fit perfectly but Miller is not as clear and that could be a hiccup.

There is a hole at 100 pounds, who else is on the roster at that weight?
To be fair, he did look like a really big 100lbs. at U17 . Looks like he's in the midst of a bit of a growth spurt, IMO he'll be a full-sized 125.

He’s 17, skeletal growth is coming to an end
Interesting how you have such intimate knowledge of the current state of his growth plates. For the record, Bassett isn't 17 until February https://www.themat.com/news/2025/july/24/2025-u17-men-s-freestyle-world-team-bios.

It's not like there is a zillion successful college wrestlers who ended up wrestling 20+ lbs (or WAY more) over the weight they were at 16 (David Taylor, Kyle Dake, Zahid Valencia are a few ones immediately coming to mind). I'm not certain how elite of a prospect he will eventually be (I think it is pretty clear he's not at Beau or Melvin Miller's level), but I don't think him being undersized for 125 is going to be the issue.

I had the same basic growth curve during my teens, early 20's. For what it's worth.

Boys on average hit their growth spurts between 12-16. Internet will tell you this if you ask. There’s late bloomers height wise, he may be one. Muscle mass & weigh gain is more likely.
