BJ McKie scored 37 points and Melvin Watson added 27 more points of his own to power the Gamecocks to an 87-77 win over the Ole Miss Rebels and into the SEC Championship Game for the first time. Now once we got there Kentucky turned it into a very bad day for us, but at least we got there.

We’ve gotten there multiple times. Almost beat Florida the year they won’t a National Title. I think we beat them 2 of 3 times that season.
Remember that 1st title game well. You’re right, it was never close. Also the last win for Melvin Watson as we lost to Richmond in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
